MYCam
Computer Integrated
Manufacturing software
Rapid machine programming
MYCamTMquickly converts any CAD and bill of
mate-rials information into ready-to-run machine programs. From this Windows-based off-line programming soft-ware, library data and programs are created and dis-patched for one or multiple MYDATA machines and other SMT equipment over the factory network.
Building blocks to enterprise
productivity
Beyond machine programming, MYCam offers a host of options to improve productivity throughout the entire factory. A complete system creates color-coded inspection and assembly aids, designs, process rout-ings, displays paperless documentation, tracks product flow, collects and analyzes quality data, and manages changes and revisions.

MYCam
Off–line programming
MYCam creates complete machine programs from imported CAD and BOM information. Import options include virtually all native CAD file types, Gerber data and even scanned bare board images. MYCam im-porters may be selected individually, or as a total set for contract assemblers requiring support for any incoming data they might receive.
Library linking and troubleshooting is assisted through a real-time link editor, guiding the operator through the trouble shooting process.
Complete program generation is possible because MYCam communicates with the actual library data-bases on the machine or the machine network. Program and library editing is performed through MYCam's user interface and updated database infor-mation is sent back to the machine along with a com-pleted set of program files.
MYCam synchronizes the off-line libraries with the machine libraries, ensuring that any changes made in one location are reflected in the others. Adjustments made on-line by operators on the machine are seen in
the off-line software and vice versa.
Network communication
The Machine Programming Gateway in the software provides a direct link to the advanced networking capabilities of your MYDATA production machinery.
Transfer of program files and all network databases from the machine network to the MYCam network can be performed seamlessly and over your existing LAN network. This system eliminates the need for moving files via disk or other means to and from the machines, and ensures synchronization of data from the machine to the CIM software system.
The connection can also be created via a dial-up connection to your factory from remote sites if avail-able on the network, or be established via the Internet in the same fashion. Operators can program all the machines on your production floor from any location capable of creating a network link to the machines. Even from home!
MYCam options
Documentation
MYCam Documentation automatically creates color-coded prints and other assembly aids quickly and reli-ably. The user may annotate drawings of the assembly for operator instructions, and archive existing quality documents with visual aids for immediate access.
MYCam's documentation windows allow users to embed hyperlinks to web sites where specification control drawings might be kept for components, or where quality documents are kept on the Intranet. Even full motion video or imported CAD drawings can be utilized for complex instructions.
MYCam exports graphics to any Windows applica-tion, making this CIM software a valuable process com-munications tool. Place full color assembly documenta-tion, routings, and other outputs into proposals, memos and e-mails.
Reporting
MYCam's routing-based structure allows the creation of full color BOM reports, work travelers, DPMO reports for quality purposes, component lead forming outputs and even adhesive label outputs for matching colored prints to part bins.
Equinox
™– Line balancing and
optimization
Equinox is a multi-job scheduling and optimization software, which allows the user to get maximum utilization of production equipment. The program cal-culates and predicts the best job sequence, kitting, balancing run-times and changeover procedures for a set of multiple jobs for up to five in-line machines. Equinox is also available stand-alone.
CheckPoint
™– BOM and revision control
CheckPoint allows fast and flawless handling of bills of material and revision changes. Extending MYCam's standard BOM import capabilities, CheckPoint assists BOM error checking, to-BOM comparisons, BOM-to-CAD comparisons, and total customer part number management, approved vendor and approved manu-facturer data control.
CheckPoint also provides an electronic method for organizing bills of materials and processes under revi-sion control. All BOMs and processes are archived in a graphical tree environment capable of handling upper-level box-build assemblies as well as PCBs. Engineering changes are quick, controlled, and archi-ved for immediate access in the future.
CheckPoint drives an electronic approval process of BOMs and processes when they are ready to release to production. CheckPoint is also available stand-alone.
Viewport – paperless viewers
Stand-alone viewer for efficiently displaying and sear-ching the documentation developed in MYCam in a read-only mode.
An investment in MYCam can assume an integral role within a web-centric enterprise information system. By connecting to additional software components MYCam becomes the process engineering portal to a system offering factory office operations, paperless documentation, product tracking and complete quality data collection and analysis via the web.
Via its open, scalable software platform, MYCam offers a path to ever-increasing benefits with only incremental investment.
iMonitor — Management data
iMonitor enables improved efficiency and quality by learning from the real-time and historical information generated by each machine during operation.
iMonitor collects real-time event information from each MYDATA machine within the factory, or across multiple factories. It helps line operators and process engineers identify problems, localize them to specific areas of the process, and then quickly correct them. Managers are presented a "dashboard" view of their factory or factories, to instantly determine the real utilization, efficiency, and throughput of their lines.
iMonitor is built upon the IPC 'CAMX' standard XML data for machine events and alarms. It is a multi-stage, scalable system consisting of web-based machine connectors, iMonitor server, and web portals to analyze and view information in an SQL Server or Oracle database. Organized and analyzed data is then available anywhere through Internet browsers. Any XML enabled equipment can be connected and hand-led through iMonitor.
iView — Paperless factory
iView delivers controlled, dynamic documentation to the factory floor via browsers. Operators are guided through assembly and inspection views, preproduction checklists, and appropriate supporting documentation at each station in the flow. In addition to full multi-media capability, each iView browser supports dynamic documentation viewing, sequence of event operations,
and full BOM drill-down. iView also drives the web-based electronic approval processes for BOM and process sign-off. iView integration to the revision con-trol and approval systems ensures only the appropriate documents are presented to the factory.
iTrac — Product tracking
iTrac extends iView capability beyond paperless docu-mentation to include automatic product tracking and analysis. Instant and global visibility to product loca-tion, performance metrics, and history is available via browsers. Integration with barcode scanners and cus-tomizable logic decisions along the product routing create a fully automatic and error-free manufacturing flow. Customizable reports and analysis systems allow both real-time and historical access to product history and production performance. iTrac gives manufactur-ers control over production progress and access to the performance information they need to improve their processes in the future.
iQ — Quality system
iQ utilizes iView and iTrac technology to deliver qua-lity data collection and analysis, repair automation, and quality event handling. iQ also collects defects from graphical browser environments designed for rapid manual entry of information, or from automatic data collecting interfaces to machinery. Based on cus-tomizable events, iQ redirects product flow, initiates alarms or other notifications, or causes information to be sent to other software systems. Repair operations are graphically assisted and confirmed. Quality analysis and reporting functions are completely customizable, and reports may be automatically e-mailed to any par-ties on specific schedules. iQ delivers the manufacturer visibility to the quality of their process.
