ABSTRACT

Technology is reducing human work and increasing productivity along with efficiency. Artificial Intelligence is penetrating in many industries like Healthcare, Telecommunication, Transportation, Education, Legal, etc., so the industries are using these technologies to develop effective decision making and improve their productivity by merging artificial intelligence in HR functions will increases the overall productivity as well as profit of the organisation. There are many benefits of using artificial intelligence in organizations are rapidly automating the business process, reduce bias and rational decision making etc., Primary objective of this study is to find the awareness of artificial intelligence towards students community. This study establishes how students are feeling about the rise of artificial intelligence. The researcher used Descriptive research design because it helps to describe a particular situation. The researcher used Convenience Sampling method in this study. The data collection from Sources of primary data with well-structured questionnaire and secondary data through books, journals and websites. Statistical tools were Percentage analysis and Karl Pearson correlation.

Keywords : Artificial intelligence, Productivity, Rational, Decision making, Automating.

1.1 INTRODUCTION

The term artificial intelligence was coined by john McCarthy in 1956. Technology is reducing human work increasing productivity along quality. Artificial Intelligence technologies are new to India. Artificial Intelligence is penetrating in many industries like Healthcare, Telecommunication, transportation, education, legal, etc., so the industries are hiring these technologies to develop effective decision making and improve their productivity. Investing in AI technology is increasing on upcoming years. Many companies are wishing to adopt smart and cognitive computing processes into their operations to sustain in market and to keep up with market challenges. It has the competencies to develop employee as well as organisation. Global market is enhancing technology environment for the economy and sustainability development of organisation. Everyone should be aware of recent upgradation especially students must have futuristic view and has to update themselves for job and career opportunities. Along with students institution also should take responsibility but even though student passion and interest should place a major impact.

1.2 Artificial intelligence in human resource management

“Humans should be worried about the threat posed by artificial intelligence” – Bill Gates. The natural intelligence is humans, animals and other living organism intelligences. Artificial intelligence is the development of computer systems which can able to perform tasks requires by normally human beings which is known as man-made intelligences.AI automates the human process of work. Some activities of artificial intelligence is speech recognition, face recognition, analytics and metrics, learning and problem solving, strategy planning, etc., Robotics is the major field in artificial intelligence. Machine learning, deep learning, convolutional neural networks are the core parts of AI

by using these artificial intelligence can predict anything. Potential of AI has the benefit to every work place. Students will become a human resource in some other organisation. So they have to know and get ready for the amalgamation of AI and HRM.

1.3 NEED OF THE STUDY

Business are finding ways to make their services, products and business process more intelligent through Artificial intelligence.AI is optimises and automates the business process. All the functions in every organization are getting automated. The immediate next stage of students is getting place in the companies which are relevant to their field. So students should update themselves to sustain in this contemporary world. Most of the companies are updating technologies. So let us study the students’ awareness of Artificial intelligence technology. This study establishes how students are feeling about the rise of artificial intelligence.

2.1 OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY

 To find awareness of artificial intelligence.

 To analyse the uses of Artificial Intelligence.

 To analyse that the capabilities of technology will stop to grow.

2.2 Statement of the problem

The main aim of the study is to find the students’ knowledge and awareness of using artificial intelligence. Researcher done this study to know how much they had been aware and to find whether they are ready to work with those technologies. Many firms are ready to implement AI software and applications on their organizations next step of students is to get a job in reputed organization so this study may helpful to know the students’ knowledge on those technology.

3.1 REVIEW OF LITERATURE

Ajay khanna (2018) the author says that some companies are not still ready to adopt cognitive computing. The major challenge in quality of data an attempt to achieve a goal. Enterprises are moving towards self-learning enterprises which requires making output from machine learning and advanced analytics from data.

Barvey aasheesh et al,(2018) enable management to take individualised preventive action to predict employees attrition. Employee attrition can enables manage to take preventive actions to retain them. Use classification modelling technique and linear regression to predict attrition. Using human resource analytics and metrics. Once deployed these models can helps to shrink employee attrition. So the manager can manage the team effectively.

David roe (2018) author says that Artificial intelligence is a positive addition to the work place. Employees gave the positive view towards the automation at workplace.

Shervin khodabandeh (2018) author says Artificial intelligence can predict success rates for human relationship. Chat bots could be used to predict the success of human relationship, trustworthiness and other qualities. AI will also play a greater role in deciding the best candidates for specific roles. But suggest that to focus on any one segment of personalization either through user experience, data access etc., are self-assured manner to attract some of the highest levels.

4.1 RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Research methodology is a procedure or technique used to identify, select, process and analysis information about the research. It evaluates the overall validity and reliability of the research.

In this research author collected data from two types of sources one is Primary data and another one is Secondary data. Primary data collected in this research through structured questionnaire and secondary data was collected from books journals and websites. The researcher used descriptive research design in this to describe the research. Researcher used convenience sampling method to collect samples for this study. Statistical tools were Percentage analysis and Karl-Pearson coefficient of Correlation..

4.2 SUGGESTIONS

 Many people are having awareness on artificial intelligence but they are not familiar machine learning techniques are taking users data so while using some websites, software and applications we must be more cautious.

 AI is very useful and its reducing human efforts on work flow.

 Technology Enhancement will reduce man power in organizations so updating ourselves will helps us grow in career.

4.3 CONCLUSIONS

“You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete” says Buckminster fuller. Having knowledge on out dated things will not help us to grow, we must upgrade ourselves. Technology is growing faster learn new things for career enrichment. “AI in workplace are expected to create 133 million new roles, but cause 75 million jobs to be displaced by 2022” according to report from the World Economic Forum (2018).

Education systems needs to focus on training students in roles directly associated to working with AI. AI users will be at some point have to take a part in order to examine it and repair it if necessary their infrastructure to achieve the required performance capabilities. AI will help a lot in removing monotonous tasks for humans, it quit more time to do job which need critical thinking and creativity, such as designing thinking of new brand campaigns and products or services. The expansion of AI use may also result in the transformation of work culture, where people will be more challenged to do better than robots and be knowledgeable in robot use. Be prepared and plan ahead for future.
