PRECIOUS BLOOD MISSION STATEMENT Precious Blood Parish is a Roman Catholic community of faith in Milford, Connecticut rooted in the Word of God and the sacraments, especially the Eucharist. We are missionary disciples who seek to bring the presence and the message of Jesus Christ to others through prayer, faith formation and assisting the needy through ministries grounded in the works of mercy.

“It is not that the gospel has changed; it is that we have begun to understand it better. Those who have lived as long as I have...were enabled to compare different cultures and traditions, and know that the moment has come to discern the signs of the times, to seize the opportunity and to look far ahead.” Pope John XXIII

The time is now to call upon God, through the powerful intercession of Our Lady of the Rosary, to heal our country and return it to holiness.
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
At the general meeting on Tuesday, October 9th, the Ladies Guild will have a fall ”wine/cheese” tasting event. All women of the parish are invited.
GOD LOVE YOU Ven. Fulton J. Sheen
“The majority is not always right.
Majority is right in the field of the relative, but not in the absolute. Majority is a legitimate test so long as voting is
based on conscience and not on propaganda. Truth does not win when numbers qua numbers become decisive. Numbers alone can decide a beauty queen but not Justice. Beauty is a matter of taste, but Justice is tasteless. Right is still right if nobody is right, and wrong is still wrong if everybody is wrong.
The first Poll in the history of Christianity was wrong!”

A FAMILY PERSPECTIVE
In today’s gospel Jesus encourages married couples to throw away the marriage rule book. Rules are for those with
“hardened hearts.” Married couples are called to be a sacramental reflection of God’s faithful and selfless love…a place where people live and love beyond rules and formulas.
Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. Colin O’Sullivan USAF, Michael Eno, USN SSgt Armando Lizasuain USAF Lt. Col. Jason Dymond Lt. Stephen Shumaker
