Abstract
This paper determines and describes about
the Approaches and methods and techniques
of teaching English. There are different
types of techniques, approaches and
Challenges in English language teaching.
While teaching some methods we should
follow. A teacher should able to understand
the student’s capacity. Based on the students
capability teacher should follow the
techniques and methods of teaching English.
Students should learn techniques of English
language. Teacher should focus on the
different methods of teaching English; how
the students can able to understand the
concepts and meaning of the sentences
.Student learns by associating meaning
directly in English. Students remember the
methods of English learning they should
know those methods apply .Teacher should
explain the techniques and tricks of English
language. Teacher focus on the practical
explanation. An approach gives rise to
methods, the way of teaching something,
which use classroom activities or techniques
to help learners learn. By various methods it
is suggested to the student that the language
is easy - and in this way the mental blocks to
learning are removed. Methods gives
learner in effective and easier ways .By
using various techniques teacher can reach
learners requirement. Approaches give
learners to remember the concept of English
and it gives the theoretical view and basic
concepts of English. Techniques give smart
way to learner and the teacher as well
finally speaking and practicing only we can
learn the English.
Introduction
Language is dynamic and is arbitrary.
Learning a new language and in case of
English it is very intense. To teach literature
is an easy task while teaching language to a
learner is a real hard task. For humans,
language is not innate and human language
has discrete, distinguishable sounds so they
depend on various sources to acquire a
language. The only way of acquiring a
language is through learning. Learning is
facilitated by different factors. A learner
acquires the target language from his
interacts but top of all classroom learning
plays a pivotal role in learning a language.
Classroom learning is a mutual process in
which both the teacher and the student
involve, enhance and enlighten each other.
This leads to few challenges for both the
teacher and the student in the learning
process. A teacher has to keep it simple and
make the students get the essence of his
ideas. A teacher should know the caliber of
the students and teach accordingly. On the
other hand a student has to respond correctly
and should try to apply the concepts. English
language teaching classroom learning,
challenges both the teacher and the learner.
My paper throws light on the challenges
faced by both of them. The more the
challenges are the more the innovations can
be made which makes learning not a tedious
and a monotonous task. Challenges in
English language teaching will open portals
for novel methods of learning.
Objective of the study
The important objective of the study is to
explore the challenges and road blocks faced
by the learner and the teacher in the
classroom.
Hypotheses
The following are the hypotheses of this
explanatory study
1. Teacher should explore the methods of
teaching to the learners
2. Learners should grip the techniques and
method of English
3. Learners should focus on the improving
the language.
4. Teacher should focus on the learner’s
interest and should teach their levels.
Research Questions
The following are the questions addressed in
the research paper
1. Why teachers fail to give the
innovative methods and different
practical methods to the learners
2. Why do learners find it difficult to
converse in English even though
they are exposed to all skills?
3. Why teachers failed to give the
students required knowledge and
desired skills
Review of Discussion
English language is the main
communication language now days. From so
many years we are learning the English
language. Learning English language gives
the Communicative skills. Methods of
to learners. Teachers should start from the
basics like grammar, English vocabulary,
spoken English, English listening, and
English reading and writing. Grammar and
sentence formation gives the good
communication .Even grammar gives the
correct and perfect sentence formation. In
the class room learners should focus on the
methods of English language .learners
should focus on the step by step learning of
the English language. Teachers should focus
on practical sessions. And practice sessions
are important for each and every learner.
Scenario based teaching is also one
of the method in teaching the English
classes. Most important Method is teacher
should focus on the writing and reading of
the learner’s prospective .then only learners
can able to know their capabilities.
Visualization is the important method .By
showing the videos and audios in the
classroom. Methods gives the step by step
learning to the learners.. By varying our
techniques, we will give students of all
styles the chance to shine some of the time.
Approaches of teaching the English
language shows the learner’s interest. While
teaching the teacher should show the
different innovative approaches .then only
learners can learn the English language
easily .if the teacher shows the different easy
learning approaches obviously leaner’s
shows interest to learn the English language.
Teachers should teach the Oral and
writing skills to learners in innovative
approach. In the class room teachers should
clear the concerns and meaning of the words
for learners .teachers allow the learners to
speak on their own and clarify the concerns
then and their itself .practice session plays a
major role in teaching English language.
Task based teaching to the learners and
conducting debates and giving the
comprehensions and teacher should teach
the grammar rules and sentence formation
and punctuation, verb and tenses .learners
also focus on the main basics of the English
grammar.
Learning through play is the
important approach in the class room. In the
classroom learners should learn from others
conversations and ideas. This approach is
based on a computer analysis of language
which identifies the most common words in
the language and their various uses
Techniques give easy ways to learn
the English language. Teachers should use
the different techniques while teaching the
English in the classroom. Teacher should
classroom to give their ideas and thoughts
and view about the English language.
Teacher should conduct the group
discussions and group analysis in the class
room. Learners also focus on the
self-learning and should practice the previous
sessions at home. Learners practice reading
the newspapers and watching the TV
channels. A single student’s progression
does not project the whole performance of
the class the most important technique is
practice the every chapter or a concept.
Learners should do the internet
surfing and learn from the different sites.
Learners have important techniques to learn
English language in different ways through
internet sites. Teachers apply some
strategies in the classroom. Applying
Strategies and techniques gives better
teaching of English language. Teacher
should conduct the mock test and mock
debates in the class room. Teaching English
in the silent environment is best method to
the learner’s. Conducting debates in the
class room is also one technique. A teacher’s
main challenge is in knowing the students
culture, background, linguistic capability
and their emotional state.

Summation
English teaching methods and
techniques and approaches gives the ways to
learn English language .learners should

Teaching English language gives the
communications and skills to the learner’s
teaching styles. Learners should gain the
desired knowledge on English language.
