Association of Cable Communicators Announces

2015 Beacon Awards® Finalists

Burke, VA –– The Association of Cable Communicators (ACC) announced today the names of the finalists for the 2015 Beacon Awards honoring excellence in cable communications and public affairs. The winners of the 2015 Beacon Awards® will be announced during the Beacon Awards Dinner and Ceremony on Thursday, June 4, 2015 during ACC's annual conference FORUM 2015 in Silver Spring, Maryland in the global headquarters of Discovery Communications.

"The creativity and resourcefulness demonstrated in this year's Beacon's is unmatched," said Chris Albert, 2015 Beacon Awards chair and senior vice president, communications worldwide and talent relations, National Geographic Channels. "These finalists continue to elevate the standard of excellence in our industry at a time when unprecedented competition for viewer's attention has made our jobs even more challenging − congrats to each of them on this

achievement. I look forward to honoring their success at this year's awards ceremony." Forty ACC members, cable communications and public affairs professionals, chose the 2015 Beacon Award finalists during an extensive two-round judging process. The Beacon Award entries submitted this year demonstrate the cable industry's commitment to communications and public affairs representing initiatives implemented over the past year in areas such as community relations, events and observances, and social media communications.
