The drop sleeves are worked with picked up stitches and reductions to the wrist.

The fabric is nearly reversible.

Round 2: (First 14 stitches are from row 2 of chart): K4, P2, K2, P2, K4, *P2, K2* rep from * to * to end of round.

Continue working in the round, incorporating the stitch pattern from the chart on the first 14 sts. Work pattern and ribbing until piece measures 2”.

Work back and forth in reverse Stockinette st (P on the RS and K on the WS) until armhole measures 6 (7, 8, 9)”. Set aside for later finishing, putting live stitches on stitch holders, strand of yarn, or spare circular needle of same or smaller size.

Front

Work front separately in Reverse Stockinette st. When piece measures 12 (14½, 18½, 20½)”, work to center 14 sts, put 14 sts of cable on stitch holder. Join second ball of yarn and work to end of row. From this point, each side is worked separately.

BO at each neck edge 2 (2, 2, 2) sts over next 2 rows.

BO at each neck edge 1 st. 1 (1, 2, 2) times. Each shoulder is 17 (18, 19, 20) sts. Work until piece measures same as back.

Join back shoulders to front shoulders with three-needle BO. Center back and center front sts remain on stitch holders.
