Attached is this week’s Friday folder. Last week, WTS put out our all remote learning schedule change surrounding the winter break:
• December 16th: Normal remote learning day
• December 17th – December 23rd: All remote learning
• December 24th – January 3rd: Winter break
• January 4th – January 8th: All remote learning
• January 11th: Hybrid learning resumes
Our pickup of meals and materials is going to be altered along with the change in schedule. We will go back to a procedure similar to the one in spring 2020. Food pickup will be at the side loading dock at our kitchen and material pickup will be next to it at the cafeteria doors. Any student work can also be handed in at this time. Meal menus are in the process of being altered to reflect the changes and will be updated as soon as possible. The pickup days are as follows:
• Wednesday, December 16th
• Wednesday, December 23rd
• Wednesday, December 30th
• Wednesday, January 6th
In conjunction with our remote learning schedule change, we wanted to make parents aware of a change to student device access. In order to provide the best, distraction free education, we are going to begin blocking Youtube videos other than those pre-approved by staff. After evaluating our educational program, we believe that this measure is necessary to ensure the best learning environment for our students. Winter Break Instructional Change

Dear Parents,
At the present time, we in the Weymouth Township School District are doing very well with implementing our protocols to keep everyone in our school as safe as possible. Any student or staff member who is on precautionary quarantine is due to a possible COVID-19 exposure outside of the school setting. No one in our staff or student body (to our knowledge) has tested positive for COVID-19 at this point in time.
To help ensure our staff, students and community will be able to participate in any holiday festivities they celebrate during this time of year without fear of a close contact with potential COVID-19 exposure we will be implementing our ALL REMOTE LEARNING model for the dates listed below.
ALL REMOTE LEARNING - Wednesday, December 16, 2020 through Friday, January 8, 2021. HYBRID LEARNING - program Monday, January 11, 2021 (depending on County/State conditions). Any students whose regular program is remote will remain remote. Any students who are participating in our In Person instruction will return to In Person instruction. Please note that while our instructional program will be all remote our staff will (in most cases) be teaching from their school classrooms.
As you probably know, there has been a recent severe rise in COVID-19 positive cases. New Jersey including Atlantic County is currently in the Orange or High Risk category.
In order to keep everyone in our school “world” as safe as possible you must advise us of any type of illness your child may be experiencing – even if you believe it to be “just a cold.” We urge you to notify us and need your help. What we usually do is to have the student quarantine at home and assign them to a Remote Learning experience until the quarantine/medical clearance has been presented to the school district. In being able to provide our instructional programs in more than one way we are continuing our efforts to do all we can to keep everyone in our school as safe as possible.
