full list of your assignments, select “View Assignments.”
This Assignments tab helps you to track due dates and assignment completion.
Previous Assignments
The Assignments page will default to “ACTIVE” assignments, or any open assignments that are not past-due. Page 10
View Topic Details
Clicking “Details” on an assignment will drill down to reveal your progress on each of the topics included. Each assignment also contains a Module Assessment. The order of topics displayed here is the order you will work in when you start or continue an assignment. Note that you will not be able to start a Module Assessment until the related topics are completed.
Topics that you’ve already finished will be marked with 100% completion. To go back and practice a previously completed topic, select the blue “Review” button.
“Tollgate” Approach (select users)
If your instructor has designated the Tollgate approach for your class, you may notice an active assignment with the “Start” button deactivated.
The Tollgate approach means that an assignment will not open until the assignment before it is completed. Using the example below, you must reach 100% completion on the Basic Math module before you are able to begin working on Safety in Medication Administration.

Completing Assignments (Learn, Practice, Assess)
Each assignment – or “module” – in DC 360 contains multiple topic areas. Each topic will include a Learn tab, for you to review the necessary content, and a Practice tab, with various exercises to reinforce your learning.
The below image provides an example of the “Learn” content for a topic. Note the following elements:
1. Module Name
2. Topic Name – each module contains multiple topics.
3. Navigation panel – click to browse the subsections.
4. Images – click the magnifying glass to view/enlarge.
5. Key concepts – interact with select terms or phrases; click the link to reveal definitions; click the speaker icon for audio pronunciation.
6. Calculator – click to make quick calculations.
Select topics include animated lecture videos, with closed captioning and a transcript provided.
Page 12 When finished reviewing the “Learn” content, click the “Continue” button at the bottom to proceed to
the accompanying Practice exercises. Practice exercises include multiple choice and fill-in-the-blank questions, among others. Choose or enter your response, then select “Check Answer.”
If marked Incorrect, you have the option to “Try Again” for another attempt.
For each practice question, feedback/rationale will display to show you how to find the correct answer.
When finished reviewing, select “Next” to move on.
Once you have completed a set of Practice exercises, the Results screen will display, giving you the option to (1) try again, (2) go back and review rationales, or (3) proceed to the next topic.
Page 13
Module Assessment
After you have completed all topics within a module (“Learn” and “Practice” tabs), you will take a Module Assessment. This assessment is designed to evaluate your understanding of the module content, and your score will be viewable by your instructor.
Be sure to read the directions for the Module Assessment! This will explain your
instructor’s expectation for the assessment. For example, your instructor may allow you to take the assessment multiple times, taking your best score. Alternatively, your instructor may choose to only allow one submission.
Once you have completed a Module Assessment, the Results screen will display, giving you the option to (1) go back and review missed questions, or (2) proceed to the next module. If your instructor is allowing multiple attempts, you will have the option to try the assessment again.
Page 14
Comprehensive Assessments
Your instructor may assign a Comprehensive Assessment, which will test your knowledge across multiple module areas. A comprehensive assessment will typically consist of either 25 or 50 questions.
In your Assignments list, comprehensive assessments will be listed with a pen and paper icon. Select
“Start” when you are ready to begin.
Like the other exercises in DC 360, comprehensive assessments can include multiple choice, select-all- that-apply, and fill-in-the-blank questions, among others. Please remember to read the question and any directions carefully.

The Metrics view helps you to identify personal strengths and weaknesses on a topic-by-topic basis.
To access from the Dashboard page, you can select the “View Metrics” button or click the METRICS tab at the top of the page.
Overall Performance
The “My Performance Overall” table provides you a look at your top 5 (strongest) and bottom 5 (weakest) topic areas, to help you prioritize your studies. This view also includes a look at your participation and average assessment score as compared to the class average.
Page 16
Performance by Module and Topic
The “My Performance by Module and Topic” table allows you to dive deeper into all completed modules, with color coding to represent proficiency. For each completed assignment, you may see:
• Green thumbs-up: Your score for the assignment was 85% or better (demonstrating competency).
• Yellow thumbs-up: Your score for the assignment was between 70-84%.
• Red thumbs-down: Your score for the assignment was 69% or below (demonstrating a need for more practice).
In the example below, the student scored between 70-84% on all questions in the Basic Math module (yellow thumbs-up). Selecting “Details” will drill down to each individual topic within Basic Math.
Your score on the Module Assessment will be displayed, as well as the option to go back and “Review”
your results.
Page 17
GRADEBOOK
Your GRADEBOOK tab will display all assignments for the class and your recorded scores. These scores are reported to your instructor’s gradebook.
Grading Rules
When accessing your Gradebook page, please note the Grading Rules posted at the top of the page! These are the rules established by your instructor and will explain how credit is awarded for your completed work on Practice exercises and Assessments.
There are three options for grading rules that you may see:
1. Participation approach: You will receive credit for completing each assignment. If you complete some but not all exercises for an assignment, you will receive partial credit (e.g. half of the exercises completed = grade of 50%).
2. Traditional approach: You will receive credit based on the number of questions answered correctly (e.g., 15 out of 20 exercises answered correctly = grade of 75%).
3. Points approach: You will receive a certain number of points for completing each assignment.
The point value is set by your instructor. For example, if each assignment is worth 5 points, and you complete 6 out of 10 exercises (60%), you will receive 3 points for that assignment.
For instance, Assessments (module or comprehensive) may be graded differently than Practice assignments. The Gradebook view shows all scores for all assignments. To search for a particular assignment, you can enter the name or a key word into the Search bar.
Page 18
Late Work
If you have submitted work after a due date, the late submission will be noted in red in your Gradebook.
Work that is submitted late will be viewable by your instructor, and may or may not be accepted per the instructor’s late policy.
DISCUSSION BOARD
Dosage Calc 360° includes a discussion board, through which the instructor may create topics for you to discuss and respond to. To access the discussion board from the main Dashboard, scroll to the bottom of the page and click “View Discussions.”
