Every pond is a swimming pool if you see the possibility. Quality and new experiences are not found in products, but in recog -nizing the opportunities around you.

By placing the Divewood next to for example a forest pond, you make that your swimming pool of choice. Floris Schoonderbeeks’ Divewood challenges you to determine your own area of liberty (defined by swimming).

The decision to realize the Divewood is a representa -tion of this concept, and its materialisation is just as direct: recognizable but surprisingly fresh. By layering oak boards as to create a wooden flat spring, a well functioning diving board is created that can turn many a pool of water into a swimming paradise.

Dutchtub (2 & 4 persons)

Since spring 2010, the wood-stoked outdoor bath Dutchtub – design by Floris Schoonderbeek in 2003 –, has been added to the Weltevree collection. During the presentation in Milan, the tub will be accompanied by a 2-person model, which makes the

unique experience and technique of this outdoor-bath even more accessible and more widely suitable. With less water, less wood, and an efficient usage of space, the 2-person tub is more fitting for smaller spaces and more intimate crowds, while detracting nothing from the rich expe -rience of outdoor-bathing.

Outdooroven

Outdoor cooking with the desire to prolong the outdoor-season and to be able to experience the enjoyment of food and outdoor-living throughout the entire year, makes Weltevree present outdoor cooking.

The action and quality of outdoor cooking is presen-ted by means of a cookbook that was especially made for the Outdooroven of Dick van Hoff.

Because of his mentality towards cooking and his quality in cooking and product preferences, Weltevree collaborated on this project with Chef Jeroen van Werven (Restaurant Look, Arnhem). This cookbook is also a means to explore new ways to display the Weltevree collection in new environ -ments like bookstores.

Weltevree in the year 2010 aims to not only develop and

manufacture products of several designers, but also presents

itself as a place where designers, engineers, interns and

other kindred spirits ﬁnd their daily work and together

create a healthy and inventive labour ambiance.

A gap exists between the bright ideas of designers and the

accessibility of those ideas to consumers. With Weltevree,

Schoonderbeek and van Hoff provide a bridge between idea

and consumer, not only for their own designs, but also for

the projects of fellow designers. In this role Weltevree

developed itself, expanded its collaborations, and created

a mature collection.

The collection

To challenge, to question and to experience intensely are

the standards for Weltevree. In what way can a product

inﬂuence the experience of an environment, or encourage

a startling new notion of the way it can be used?

The products in the Weltevree collection come into being as

the result of a wish, an idea or an ambition. Independence

is key: for the designers, the producers, and above all for the

user

. The collection encourage to re-deﬁne our familiar

surroundings. Weltevree invites you to remodel the world to

your ideal.

y, without being

outdated. The designs have a comforting originality, ask for

a new interpretation of the world around you, and create

new ways to experience your environment.

To create an interesting experience, you need a certain

quality, in design as well as in manufacturing.

Therefore Weltevree is very happy to collaborate with

artisan businesses like the Swedish axe-factory Gränsfors,

and Dutch ceramic company Royal Tichelaar Makkum.

Weltevree cooperates not only with production companies.

Together with Chef Jeroen van Werven, Weltevree is

presenting its stand on outdoor-cooking.

By publishing a manual / cookbook speciﬁcally for the

Weltevree Outdooroven – design by Dick van Hoff –,

Weltevree is pushing outdoor cooking.
