This year's Kennel Club of Philadelphia show on Nov. 20 will once again be taped and then televised on Thanks- giving Day, Nov. 25, on NBC as the National Dog Show Presented by Purina. This is our 20th year on NBC and our time slot from noon-2pm in all time zones, immediately following the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade, helps bring us an audience of some 25 million viewers.
If you are entering, would you please take a little time now to tell us something about your dog(s) via the Entrant Info form at https://nds.nationaldogshow.com/entrant-form/ Please submit a form for each dog you enter.
We can use that information in a number of ways: first, of course, if your dog gets through to the group and lands on the broadcast, we will have something to share with all those viewers.
But also, whether or not you win and get through to the group, we could use good stories in our PRE-SHOW and POST-SHOW PUBLICITY. In the past, we have used stories about dogs just because they are good stories about dogs and their people. Sometimes a dog will find its way into our telecast just because it is a good story, regardless of whether they win at the show.
Let’s hear those stories! Please send us the info form as soon as possible.
✵✵ SCHOLARSHIPS ✵✵
(SEE PAGES 25 & 26 OF THE PREMIUM LIST)
The Junior Showmanship Scholarships will be a one-time Scholarship for Post-Secondary education (not necessarily a college). When the Junior enrolls, The Kennel Club of Philadelphia, Inc. will require enrollment confirmation from the school. The Kennel Club of Philadelphia, Inc. will send payment directly to the school for credit to the Junior's account.
ALL PURINA PRO PLAN AWARDS, IF NOT PRESENTED IN THE RING, MUST BE PICKED UP DURING THE EVENT AT THE PURINA PRO PLAN BOOTH. PRESENTATION OF THE WINNING RIBBON IS REQUIRED. PURINA PRO PLAN RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MAKE AWARD SUBSTITUTIONS OF EQUAL OR GREATER VALUE IF LISTED AWARD IS NOT AVAILABLE.
The Kennel Club of Philadelphia, Inc. is proud to host the eighteenth annual National Dog Show which will be filmed by NBC Sports for a two-hour presentation on its nationwide network immediately following Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday.
BEST IN SHOW $1,500.00 BEST OF BREED $30.00
FIRST in each GROUP $500.00 BEST OF OPPOSITE
SECOND in each GROUP $400.00 TO BEST OF BREED $20.00

Filming For Tv
Portions of the show will be filmed for later showing on NBC. A camera man may be in the Group Ring immediately prior to judging. We expect that the show's producers will conduct interviews with breeders and exhibitors as part of their coverage of the event. Our contract for the filming prohibits any other use of video recorders for commercial purposes.
