Requirement:
To be eligible for this certification, the mobile app must be implemented using
SUP 2.1 (or 2.0) and must “downloadable” or available on corresponding App
Store if required by vendor
Scope:
Certification covers end-to-end functionality of mobile solution
If custom ABAP code has been implemented then ABAP Add-on Certification
criteria need to be met
If SAP Delivered Gateway Content is consumed then GW Content Consumption
Certification criteria need to be met
If Custom Gateway Content has been implemented then GW Content
Certification criteria need to be met
SUP 2.1 Integration Scenario in Details
Online Apps using Gateway + OData:
For simple and lightweight applications with constant connection
Gateway Content provided through OData Protocol
No use of Mobile Business Objects (MBOs)
Offline Apps using MBO:
For complex and heavyweight applications with occasional connections (focus on
data synchronization upon connection)
Use of MBOs with connection profiles to

Integration Certification Process*

Provider completes Technical Product Profile (TPP) document
2.
ICC reviews TPP and reaches mutual agreement on functional test cases
3.
Execute Technical Testing
1.
Online applications:

Verify deployment of MBOs on SUP server

Verify configuration of connection profiles

Offline applications:
1.
Verify configuration of OData Connector on SUP server
2.
Verify Gateway Content on mobile device
4.
Execute Functional Testing
1.
Validate successful execution of end-to-end scenario using mobile device

Verify backend data for consistency
3.
Verify data synchronization if offline capable

If Testing successful, certification is awarded

Else, schedule another test session to complete the failing scenario
