2. Dial 1 to call the retrieved number.

Messagebank®

Note: There is a monthly charge for this service.

This is Telstra’s service that takes messages at times when you can’t answer the phone. Callers will be asked to leave a message, and you’ll hear a whirling tone the next time you pick up the phone to tell you that a message is waiting.

To turn Messagebank on or off, 1. Call Alltel on 1300 255 835.

Tip: Most businesses prefer to be notified immediately when someone leaves a message so that they can respond to the caller’s needs quickly. If that’s true for your business, the following Alltel services will better suit your needs:

Live Answering Service

An Australian-based operator answers calls in your business name, and then immediately forwards messages to you via SMS and email.

Voice2Email

Customers are asked to leave a message, which is then immediately forwarded to you as an email attachment.

Calling Made Easy
