HOW TO LOGIN

Once downloading and installing the application from your Google Play Store, proceed with the following instructions to log in.

If you already have a Vantage FX MT4 account

1. Once entering the application, tap on the text fields to edit and input your login and password:

2. Login – Your MT4 trading account number 3. Password – Your MT4 trading account password

4. Servers – By clicking on the ‘Server’ button, you have the option of selecting between ‘Demo’ or ‘Live’. Select your account.

5. After entering your account login details, click on the ‘Login’ button. 6. Once clicking on the login button your smartphone will attempt to

connect to the server and log you into your trading account

If you do not have a Vantage FX trading account, you can open a new demo account

1. Select the ‘Create Demo Account’ button found below the Login button. 2. A mobile browser will open to a demo account application form

3. You will be required to fill in and submit a registration form

4. Once complete click ‘Submit’ and soon your account details will be sent to your email address

5. Take note of your account number and master password from the email 6. Enter these details in your login screen on the app and then click ‘Login’.

PASSWORD SAVE

To disable or enable the password save option, tap on the ‘floppy disk’ icon next to your password. You will be notified about the change. After your first login with ‘save’ icon highlighted, your login credentials will be stored so that

SAVING ACCOUNT DETAILS

The Vantage FX for Android app allows for multiple accounts to be saved to the app. To access your saved accounts, tap on the arrow in the ‘Account number’ field on the Login homescreen. It will then show up a list of your saved accounts for the app. Tap on the account you wish to use. When saving your account details to your Android Trader, using the ‘Remember Password’ option, your details will be remembered for each log in and show up here in the ‘Saved Accounts’ section. By selecting the ‘Remove’ button alongside the saved accounts, you are able to remove unwanted accounts, also accounts for which you no longer wish the details to be saved for.

NAVIGATING YOUR APP

Upon logging in you will come to the ‘Rates’ page. There are 4 main areas that you should familiarize yourself with. These categories are always located along the bottom of the app and are the default 4 main sections. These are:

Rates - Brings up the full list of all available instruments.

Favorites - Your most commonly traded instruments are listed here and you can save other favorites to this area.

Trades - This area shows your open and pending order details.

RATES

The default home page is the ‘Rates’ page. You can also reach this page by selecting the Rates tab. This page shows all the available instruments, their bid and ask rates, current spread, the time of last price and low and high for the current day.

Tapping on an instrument, will reveal a popup bar as follows:

Market – Opens a market order, depending on the execution type of the instrument.

Pending – Creates a pending order: Buy Limit, Sell Limit, Buy Stop, Sell Stop

Chart – Directs you to a chart window.

Favorites – Adds this instrument to ‘Favorites’

FAVORITES

The Favorites application gives you the ability to customize your favorite instruments within one single area using the above-mentioned method. Tapping on an instrument within Favorites area a popup bar comes up with the following options:

Market – Opens a market order, depending on the execution type of the selected instrument

Pending – Creates a pending order: Buy Limit, Sell Limit, Buy Stop, Sell Stop

Chart – Directs you to a chart window.

Move up – Repositions your favorite instrument higher up in the list

Move down – Repositions your favorite instrument lower down on the list

Favorites – Removes this instrument from ‘Favorites’

Note: if you cannot see all options on the bar, slightly swipe across the bar and the bar options will slide across.

TRADES

The Trades section shows the order details of your open positions and pending orders, as well as allowing you to close an open position or modify an order. It also shows your current profit/loss including swap and commission in open positions, used margin, free margin, equity, margin level, and credit. At the bottom, it also shows your current MT4 Account Balance.

When viewing your trades you have a number of options. All options can be found by selecting the ‘menu’ button of your Android. You can view your trades in the deposit currency, as points or alternatively using the collective view. The collective view allows you to group all trades of the same currency, giving you a more comprehensive view of your trading activity.

OPENING A NEW ORDER

Opening an order is simple and can be done from either the Rates section or the Favorites page. A new order can be placed by tapping a trading instrument of your choice which will bring you to the popup bar.

Choose ‘Market’ to open a new position.

For market orders you can select and change the volume (vol ), set a stop loss (S/L) or take profit (T/P). You must then choose whether to ‘Buy’ or ‘Sell’ by clicking the corresponding button. Your request to open a new position will be sent. A confirmation screen should appear shortly after the request is approved.

To create a Pending order you may either select the ‘Pending’ button from the pop up bar or alternatively select the menu button from the market order screen. The window for creating a pending order will appear. Again, you have the volume (Vol), stop loss (S/L), and take profit (T/P). With the pending order, you set the price that you want the order to activate. By selecting the ‘price’ option, you will be presented with a scrolling ‘Price picker’. Once you have chosen your price, click ‘ok’ followed by your desired type of the order: Buy Limit, Sell Limit, Buy Stop, and Sell Stop. A confirmation screen should appear shortly.

You can easily switch to chart window from either the ‘Market Order’ or from the ‘Pending Order’ page by clicking on ‘Chart’ button below.

The ‘Price picker’

When switching between orders via the ‘menu’ button, you will see 1 of the 2 screens.

ORDER CONFIRMATION

Once deciding on a Market order or a pending order, a screen as shown below will appear attempting to send your request through within this time. You have the option to cancel your request by clicking on the ‘Cancel’ button before your order will be processed.

If your order was successfully executed, you will be shown a message like so.

There is also another possible outcome for a market request – ‘Requote’. In this case, you will receive another message as shown in the picture below. With the ‘Requote’, you can resend your request at the new price or cancel it.

MODIFYING OPEN POSITIONS

On your ‘Trades’ page, clicking on an Open position will give you details of that order. From here, you can: Update / Close. If you change or set a Stop Loss (S/L) or Take Profit (T/P) on an open position, you will need to click on the ’Update’ button to confirm the changes. A confirmation screen should appear shortly after updating the order. If you decide to close an open position tap ’Close’ and your request will be sent. A confirmation screen will also appear shortly after the request is approved.

MODIFYING PENDING ORDERS

If you select a pending order from the Trades area, you have the option to Update / Delete the pending order. You can change or adjust the open price, the Stop Loss (S/L) and the Take Profit (T/P). Remember after making such changes, click on ‘Update’ to confirm. Again, a confirmation should appear shortly after ‘Update’ or ‘Delete’ is clicked.

CHARTS

Tapping the chart button in the popup bar or on the orders page, will bring you to the chart of the instrument. You have the ability to scroll back on the chart, by moving your finger horizontally. To zoom in and out click the ‘menu’ button of your smartphone and choose the desired zoom option. Alternatively, you can use hand gestures as pinching and spreading to zoom in and out, if supported by your phone. If you turn your smartphone horizontally, the chart will open to a wider view.

TECHNICAL ANALYSIS

Within the charts area, you have access to the technical analysis tools. All analysis options can be found along the top of your chart, in both vertical and horizontal views.

This icon shows your basic drawing options. When adding lines or additions to your chart, select this button to fix your lines in place

Allows you to magnify a specific area of your chart using the Loupe tool

Provides your charting tools, such as Trend lines and Fibonacci retracements. To add to your chart simply select the line you wish to add and place by moving the blue dot/s with your finger. To fix the line, select the ‘eye’ icon.

Allows you to move and edit additions on your chart

Remove drawings and lines from your chart

Separate your chart

Allows you to switch between candle stick, bar or line charts

Allows you to choose your time frame Add or remove indicators to/from your chart

Customization options

Zoom in options allow you to zoom in at x1 or x10

Zoom out options allows you to zoom out at x1 or x10

The customization menu allows you to fully customise your charts and technical analysis. You have the ability to change all chart colours, or alternatively select one of the 5 default colour views provided for you. From within this menu, you are able to turn on/off your bid and ask lines, your order levels and also the loupe feature.

Your indicators list can be found by selecting the ‘Add/ Remove indicators’ button located above your chart. You are able to add indicators to the chart by selecting the menu button of your Android and select the ‘Add’ option, or remove indicators using the ‘edit’ option.

HISTORY

You can view the following criteria on each order:

 Type - buy or sell

 Order number

 Volume

 Open price

 Stop Loss or Take Profit price

 Close price

 Swap

 Commission

You can access a specific report from any date range. Click on ‘Menu’ to enter the Start date and End date of the history date range you wish to see. Your trade history gives you a comprehensive run down of all your closed orders, removed pending orders, deposits/withdrawals and credits.

SEARCH

The Android Trader also allows you to search for a specific symbol, and closed or open trade of each page. The search icon can be found in the top right hand corner of each screen. This will bring up a search bar allowing you to type in the item you wish to look for.
