Vicon network cameras, available in both megapixel and standard resolution models, connect directly
to your IP network, and may be remotely viewed and controlled through video management software.
Many models are ONVIF compliant and offer a choice of transmission modes, including H.264, MPEG
-4 and M-JPEG compression, minimizing bandwidth and storage requirements.
Plus, using Vicon cameras in conjunction with ViconNet software offers a huge long-term financial
benefit not available elsewhere. There are no licensing fees when you use Vicon cameras as part of
your network! Only the combination of Vicon's quality IP cameras used within a ViconNet video
man-agement system can offer you that.
Use video from these cameras within a wide range of applications, including HD command and
con-trol centres using Vicon's virtual matrix display concon-troller, video management with integrated access
control or license plate recognition software, and with Vicon's video many video analytic detection
modules.

ViconNet is an open-architecture, feature-rich video management software solution that delivers
com-plete access to live and recorded security video across your network. Supporting industry-standard
compression and transmission formats, including H.264, ViconNet displays and records clear,
high-resolution video while minimizing bandwidth and storage requirements. Megapixel and IP cameras
from Vicon and other major manufacturers can be viewed and controlled using ViconNet software,
which is managed using one of several intuitive interfaces: a standard web browser-based option, a
PC workstation drag-and-drop GUI, or a virtual matrix display controller that supports multiple
moni-tors in a command-and-control setting.
ViconNet’s video management functions can be easily integrated with those of other security
solu-tions, including access control, video analytics and license plate recognition. A unique, events
man-agement feature allows integrators and end-users to tie events from third-party software to
corsponding video within ViconNet, and to program macros that perform any number of actions in
re-sponse, such as initiating recording, adjusting the recording speed, changing a video display, sending
an email, playing an audio file and displaying a public or private URL. In addition, ViconNet stores the
event along with the related video for future retrieval and forensic reporting. By combining the power
of ViconNet with other software, you can create a robust, integrated security system that is easily
managed over a single network, often from a single interface, and is tailored to your specific needs.

Just because you’re using an IP-based video management system doesn’t mean that you need to
rely exclusively on network cameras. Vicon offers analogue cameras for every application, and the
analogue versions of our high-performance Surveyor VFT camera domes, offering up to 35X optical
zoom, continue to be used in some the world’s tightest security settings. Use our cameras with the
video management system of your choice, or, integrate them within your ViconNet system through the
use of a Kollector hybrid DVR or one of our encoder products. Either way, the video from these
cam-eras will be fully compatible with the transmission and compression formats used by your ViconNet
system.

Matrix Systems

system control from a compact, desktop console. The V1500X-SCCS System Controller with
touch-sensitive LCD display controls camera call-up and pan-tilt-zoom functions for any Pilot model, as well

External receivers and interface cards are available and data signals are distributed by Vicon’s
