ARTICULATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN

DELAWARE COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE

AND

DEVRY UNIVERSITY, Philadelphia METRO

THls AGREEMENT, dated

February 2011, is made by and between Delaware

County Community College,

hereinafter

called "DCCC"

and

DeVry university, P

hiladelphia

Metro, hereinafter called ,,DeVry". Philadelphia

Metro

encompasses, DeVry, Fort Washington, Philadelphia,

and King of Prussia.

DCCCandDeVryacknow|edgetheirsharedmissiontoprovidequaIityhighereducation

programs wh ich meet the needs of

the

region a nd provide a workforce

of

high ly train ed residents.

The pnmary

purpose

of

this

agreement

is

to

enhance

the

transferability between

DCCC's

Associate in Applied science Electronics Technology (AET) program

to

Devry's Baccalaureate Degree

program

in

Electronics Engineering

Technology. A

secondary

purpose

is

to

provide

faculty

and administration

of both

institutions

with

more

precise guidelines

for

advising students

interested

in

pursuing a Bachelor of science Degree in Electronics EngineerinS

Technology.

Exhibit A, consisting

of

one(1)page,attachedheretoandincorporatedherein,|iststheDCCCSending(AET)Degreeandthe

DeVry Transfer

Degree.

Devry

will

transfer

Dccc's AAS (AET) Associate Degree as listed

in

Exhibit A

for

students

enrolling

in

Devry's

Electronics Engineering Technology

program

DCCC students must

complete

the

AET Associate

Degree

in

order

to

receive

block credit towards

the

Electronics Engineering Technology Bachelor's Degree at DeVry'

This agreement does

not

exclude students

from

transferring

to

majors

other than

Electronics Engineering

Technology.

A

maximum

of

78

transfer credits

will be

accepted

from

DCcc

Dccc

students must have a minimum cumulative GPA

of

2.5 to transfer

to

DeVry. All credits hereunder will

be analyzed in accordance

with

this Agreement and if determined

to

be academically appropriate

will

be

accepted

and

applied

to

the

selected

maiot.

and

grades

will be

accepted

for

transfer

with the

earned Associate

in

Applied science AET Degree

with a

minimum 2'5

cumulative

GPA. The effective date for awarding the "CR" grade designation is July

2009'

Note:

,'CP" credit is defined as credit awarded

to

a partner high school 2+2+2 student who has

successfully achieved the course competencies in an articulated course at

the

level

of

"8"

or

better'

as

assessed by

the

high school

faculty

member.

"CR"

credit

is

defined

as

credit

awarded

to

a

partner high school 2+2+2 student

who

has successfully achieved

the

course competencies

in

an articulated course at the level of "C" or

better,

as assessed by DCCC faculty

Exhibit B attached hereto and incorporated herein, lists

the

DeVry advisement sheets

for

Electronics

Engineering Technology and shows how the DCCC credits

will

be applied'

It

is

recommended

that all

AET/Electronics Engineering Technology candidates

complete

a

DCCC/DeVry

"lntent to

Enroll"

form

before

the

completion

of

30

transferable

credits

from

all

post-secondary

institutions.

Delaware

county community

college

witl

be

responsible

for

forwarding

the ,,lntent

to

Enroll"

form

and related documentation

to

a designated DeVry transfer representative'

To improve the transfer, advising, and registration processes, DCCC students are able

to

submit

their

completed application

to

Devry six (6)

times

during

the

year;

twice in

the

Fall,

spring

and summer semesters. courses at Devry may be completed on-line and on-site on a part-time or

full-time

basis'

l.

Mutual Terms and Conditions

A. Term of

the

Agreement.

This agreement shall be in effect

for five

(5) years

from the

date

of

the signature and

will

be reviewed annually for accuracy'

B, Termination of the

Agreement,

DCCC and DeVry may terminate this A8reement

for

any

reason or no reason

with

ninety (90) days

written

notice

from

either

party

Either party may terminate this Agreement in

the

event of a substantial

breach.

However, should

either party terminate this Agreement prior to the completion of an academic semester' all students enrolled at that

time

may continue their educational experience until

it

would have been concluded absent the termlnation'

C.Nondiscrimination.Thepartiesagreetocontinuetheirrespectivepoliciesof

nondiscrimination based on Title

of the civil Rights Act o{ 1964 in regard

to

ssx, age, race, color, creed, and national origin, Title IX of the Education Amendments

of

1972 and

other

applicable laws, as well as the provisions of the Americans

with

Disabilities Act.

D. lnterpretation

of the

Agreement.

The

laws

of

the

Commonwealth

of

Pennsylvania shall

govern this Agreement.

E.

Modification of

Agreement.

This Agreement shall

only

be

modified

in

writing with

the

same

formality as the original Agreement.

F. Relationship

of Parties.

The relationship between

the

parties

to

this Agreement

to

each

other

is

that of

independent

contractors.

The relationship

of the

parties

to this

contract

to

each

other shall

not

be

construed

to

constitute

a

partnership,

joint

venture,

or

any

other

relationship, other than

that

of independent contractors'

G.

Liability.

Neither of

the

parties shall assume any liabilities

to

each

other.

As

to

liability

to

each

other or death

to

person,

or

damages

to

property,

the

parties

do

not waive any defense as a

result

of

entering

into this

contract.

This provision

shall

not

be

construed

io

limit

the

commonwealth's

rights,

claims

or

defenses

which

arise as

a matter

of

law

pursuant

to

any provisions of this contract.

H. Entire

Agreement,

The Agreement represents

the entire

understanding between

the

parties'

NootherpriororcontemporaneousoraIorwritteriunderstandingsorpromisesexistinregard

to this relationship. Any changes, corrections or additions

to

this contract shall be in

writing

in

the form of a supplemental agreement signed by all necessary parties and setting

forth

therein
