the Pathway to Year 2 Program

The Pathway to Year 2 Program is designed for those capable and dedicated students who meet university academic requirements but have not yet reached the required English proficiency. Depending on your English level, within one calendar year you can achieve the required TOEFL score AND accumulate 24 – 30 academic credits which are sufficient for you to matriculate into the second year of your academic program! This program saves you both time and money and permits you to complete your undergraduate education in four years rather than the four and one-half to five years normally required to complete a traditional ESL Transition Program.

the Study Abroad with English Program

If you are already a university student in your home country, you may be required to spend a year studying abroad and improving your English proficiency. Or, perhaps, such an experience has always been your dream. The ISES Study Abroad with English Program permits you to study for two or three semesters in an ESL Program and take regular academic courses associated with your academic discipline. You will return to your “home” university with an official university transcript indicating your courses and grades achieved.

Private preparatory schools with their rigorous, challenging curricula almost guarantee admission into a competitive university. Normally 98% of preparatory school students advance into higher education.
