FMM Institute was incorporated as a separate company of the Federation of

Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM established in 1968) on 12 January 1999. This effort was

specifically made to expand and focus on its training functions in line with the objectives of

FMM to develop the potentials and enhance the skills of employees at every level in the

industry. This would then create a pool of manpower trained in all aspects of management

capabilities and industrial skills to face the challenges as the country moves into the status of

an industrialised nation.
