Les Roches International school of hotel Management prepares international students committed to a career in the service industries for success. Its model hospitality education programs balance theory with practice, independent learning with strong faculty support, and a foundation for lifelong learning with the skills for immediate employment and progress to leadership positions in the industry. through international branch campuses, the Les Roches model of education is accessible to students throughout the world.
III. AcADeMIc pRogRAMs
As Les Roches is accredited by the new england Association of schools and colleges, the following academic programs are based on the American university system. Intakes are every usually every January/february and July/August.
All programs are taught in english.

◥ Hotel Management Diploma (available at Les Roches switzerland, Marbella and Jin Jiang, 2 ½-3 years, including three academic semesters and either two or three internships)
◥ Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in International Hotel Management (available at Les Roches switzerland and Marbella, 3½ years, including five academic semesters and two internships) with specializations in:
◥ Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in International Hotel Management with Intensive English and Service (available at Les Roches in switzerland and Marbella, 4 years, including six academic semesters and two internships) with specializations as normal bbA program.
◥ BBA in Global Hospitality Management (3½ years, including five academic semesters and two internships). In this unique program, students travel together as a class between the three Les Roches campuses in switzerland, spain, and china and experience the qualities of these diverse destinations. ◥ Two-degree BBA in International Hotel Management with Kendall College, Chicago (4 years, including six academic semesters and two internships.)
Les Roches switzerland and Marbella have launched a two-degree hospitality program with Kendall college, allowing students to combine a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management at Les Roches with an extra nine months of study at Kendall college in chicago. upon successful completion, students receive two bachelor-level degrees from Les Roches and Kendall and may apply for a 12-month permit to work in the u.s. and gain practical training. postgRADuAte pRogRAMs

education at Les Roches follows the transformative education model and consists of developing students’ full personal and professional potential through educational programs that feature hands-on learning, professional internships, and progressive learning principles and that address a global mindset, interpersonal skills, and employability. with emphasis on both didactic and craft-based learning, Les Roches is european in its outlook, swiss in its work ethos, American in its educational approach, and multinational in its student body. All programs emphasize developing critical thinking skills, understanding contemporary management theory, and integrating theory and practice.
Les Roches curricula are divided into three sections, each one developing specific aptitudes in order for graduates to be fully prepared to lead and manage teams in an exciting environment.

Les Roches students start with general introduction courses, then progress to specialized competencies and technology. craft-based learning introduces students to the work environment and helps them understand the interpersonal relationships involved. the kitchens, dining rooms, and rooms at Les Roches are equipped exactly as they would be in a top hotel or restaurant. by gaining hands-on experience, students develop confidence and self-discipline, as well as analytical skills, and are prepared for a successful entry into the professional world.

the 4,022 square-meter RAcA campus offers students a privileged culinary learning experience in a serene atmosphere. the campus comprises nine craft-based learning centers, including a pastry and bakery lab, a theater-style kitchen, a production a la carte area, as well as a modern restaurant and a banqueting area.

Internships are part of the majority of the academic programs at Les Roches and play an important role in all undergraduate-level studies. the internship experience enables students to put into practice their theoretical knowledge and to face real work situations in today’s fast-evolving environment. Internships also increase student employability, as they will graduate with not only an education, but extensive professional experience. the career development and Industry Placement office assists students in securing internships during their studies, as well as finding positions upon graduation.
each semester, students average three internship opportunities for positions all over the world (based on 2012 data for all campuses).
each semester, representatives from more than 30-40 international hotel chains and companies come to our campuses to introduce themselves and recruit our graduating students.

All Les Roches graduates automatically become part of an extensive alumni network with almost 11,000 members in 129 countries around the world. through the Alumni Association, graduates can continue to develop both personal and professional relationships and exchange new ideas with fellow alumni. the Alumni Association also helps new graduates enter the professional world through its executive search and placement service, which matches job-seekers with open positions.

1954 “L’ecole des Roches” is founded as an international school.
1979 the international school becomes a hotel and tourism school, with instruction in english.

2000 Les Roches is acquired by what is now known as Laureate International universities, a worldwide provider of higher education to more than
