The customer had this product under  development with another company for 16  months with no end in sight. Talon agreed  to build the device in 10 weeks. Coin Cell Powered Wireless BAN Sensors

Soldier Worn Blast Dosimeter and Damage

PCB with 32 bit ARM microcontroller/DSP,  High Speed Radio and RFID Pressure Sensor  CR2032 coin cell 27.2 mm Talon took over this project from a large  defense contractor following their 1 year  development effort. The original device  proved the concept but was analog based  and failed to perform reliably from unit to  unit. Talon provided:  • Complete Digital Signal Processing (DSP)  system architecture enabling extremely low  unit to unit variability • DSP algorithm development and  verification using MATLAB • Coin cell operation of 2 years @ 5,000  events per day. • Wireless reader for data event download Body Worn Blast Detector / Calculator

Small Format Tactical Radio System

Talon took the customer’s requirements and  quickly responded with a prototype for  evaluation. Talon provided: •Sub‐1GHz radio in U.S, E.U, and China bands,  for superior performance in harsh RF  environments •IP‐based 6LowPAN protocol integrated by  Talon Communications •ATMEL AT86RF212 Transceiver IEEE 802.15.4 •Radio system components – Central data router (+30 dBm) – Soldier mount (0 dBm) • 2.7” x 1.6” x 0.3” •Talon Communications designed: – Hardware − RF – Firmware − Mechanical Tactical Radio System

Flight Vario featuring Visual and Talon designed the latest version (V2) of  this flight variometer using the latest tiny  GPS device and extremely accurate (<0.1  meter) barometric sensor.
