I have been asked by an Italian family to enquire whether there would be any male students of Italian who would be interested in going to stay and teach their son English this summer. They live in Milan in a lovely house with a pool and are looking for someone to go for 2 weeks in July to speak English with their son, Fabio. I really enjoyed my time with the family and they are lovely welcoming people so it is a perfect experience to improve Italian! I'm not sure how to publicise this post but I'm willing to speak to anyone who is interested.

Work Placement Opportunities in Spain for Sept 2010 Erasmus work placements in Spain.

Below is a description about the internship:

(3)

I'm currently on my Year Abroad working at UniConsult in Madrid. They have an opening for four becarios/as (interns) from September 2010. Two interns would be required to work in the Madrid office and another two in their Barcelona office.

UniConsult is a leading HR consultancy firm in Spain (currently focusing on outplacement, but also dealing with selection, headhunting and training). You can have a look at the website, www.uniconsult.es which explains the company in more detail. Clients, past and present, include the likes of Johnson & Johnson, Vodafone and Coca Cola.

Both placements in Madrid and Barcelona consists of translation of documents into English and occasionally from English into Spanish, dealing with English language administrative tasks, teaching English classes once a week and a large involvement in the commercial action and expansion aspects of the company, especially in

researching and finding possible new clients. However, the more you put yourself out there the more responsibilities and tasks you will receive. Most importantly, there is always something to do, and you will feel like you are actually making a contribution to the company.

I have been here since the start of March 2010 and am really enjoying it. UniConsult is a dynamic and successful company, and the position is really interesting and stimulating. The company has offices in Barcelona, Seville and Madrid, and most importantly it is in the process of expansion around Spain, which means the person who joins the company will be coming in at an especially exciting time and have a lot of opportunities to take on new challenges.

The office is very friendly and Spanish is spoken, with clients and colleagues. The hours of the job would be 9.00-19.30 with lunch break between 14.00 and 16.30 from Monday to Thursday and 9.00-18.30 with the same lunch break on Fridays. You would also receive a monthly pay of 300 Euros.

Anyone interested in the position should get in touch with Marisol Villó at [email protected] as soon as possible, sending a cover letter and CV, both in Spanish.

If anyone has any further questions about the position, they can also email me at [email protected] and I will be glad to tell you more about the position.

APARTMENT TO RENT IN PARIS

I'm a third-year French student looking for someone to replace me in my apartment in Paris this summer, starting in July. Minimum 2 months, and there's the possibility of staying for the whole year.

My current flatmate will still be there. It's a two-bedroom place in the 11e

arrondissement, just by the Philippe Auguste metro. The room's around 10m2, fully furnished. Rent's €460/month, and the place is eligible for the housing allowance, which knocks about €100/mo off the price.

The flatmate is Belgian, so you'll be speaking French around the place. The area's great: not pricey, close to Bastille and Belleville for going out, good metro links to the universities...

Composed in response to the events in Beslan in 2004, September.doc is a window onto the psyche of a people stricken by war. The North Caucasian insurgency

continues to this day and casts a shadow over the up-coming 2014 winter Olympics in Sochi. In this play Teatr.doc, a fiery underground Moscow company, use verbatim theatre to challenge the way we think about the Caucasus and its relationship to Russia.

A rehearsed reading of the play will be performed at 8 pm on Thursday in Magdalen Auditorium. Sasha Dugdale's translation will be used. Admission is free, with a retiring collection for Memorial (www.memo.ru)
