We are a dynamic, passionate and unique Anglo-Chinese company whose Headquarters are located in Edinburgh. Our company’s core value is to create the perfect pre-wedding photographs that you can only dream about. Why Scotland? Scotland is an exceptional location due to its outstanding natural beauty and history that provides an unforgettable unique pre-wedding pho-tographs and wedding ceremony. You will be able to choose from the vari-ous locations throughout Edinburgh and also famvari-ous historical hvari-ouses locat-ed in the Scottish Borders and beyond. All the locations will provide the per-fect photographs that you dream of and more importantly that you deserve. We offer an individually tailored service that will meet your needs that our competitors cannot and will not be able to meet. Why? We listen to you, it is that simple.

Scottish Weddings & Co is owned and run by Lu Li and Drew Urquhart. We became close friends met while studying for a post-graduate degree in Edinburgh. This makes us unique and allows us to offer a high level of service at every stage. As Lu is based in Dalian, China and Drew is based in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Every aspect of your visit to Scotland will be organised by us. We aim to remove the stress and anxiety of finding and organising the perfect locations for your pre-wedding photographs meets and surpasses your expectations. This is achieved by listening to you.

The Glasshouse Hotel

Hidden behind the facade of the 160 year old façade of the Lady Glenorchy Church, our 65 bedrooms were redesigned in 2013, offering luxurious, contemporary furnishings. Many rooms within the hotel offer direct access to the 2-acre roof top garden, or balconies with views over Edinburgh City Centre, and all rooms offer complimentary Wi-Fi access, Nespresso machines and iPhone docking stations.

West End of Princes Street Gardens

Princes Street Gardens lies at centre of Edinburgh's World Heritage Site, within New Town and Old Town Outstanding Conservation Areas. It is listed in the Inventory of Gardens and Designed Landscape in Scotland and has geological and botanical scientific interest. The Gardens are set in the valley between the old and new towns with Edinburgh Castle on its rock towering above the western end.

Carlton Hill

Calton Hill is one of Edinburgh's main hills, set right in the city centre. It is unmistakable with its Athenian acropolis poking above the skyline.

The top of Calton Hill is a usually quiet place to come on any day, with its grassy slopes and panoramic views of the city, including down the length of Princes Street (the main shopping thoroughfare) and Edinburgh Castle. There is a good view North of the ruddy-coloured cliffs of Salisbury Crags, Arthur's Seat, and the undulating slopes of Holyrood Park.

Royal Mile

The heart of Edinburgh’s medieval Old Town and also lies in Edinburgh's World Heritage Site.

Pre-Wedding Photo-shoot Locations in the Scottish Borders Bowhill Estate

The present house at Bowhill dates mainly from 1812 and was greatly expanded during the 19th century by architects including William Atkinson, William Burn and David Bryce. Sir Walter Scott, a kinsman and frequent visitor, admired the house so much he christened it ‘Sweet Bowhill’ in his famous poem, ‘The Lay of the Last Minstrel’.

Today, Bowhill’s imposing situation, elegant proportions and impressive cultural collections help make it one of the Scottish Borders’ most popular visitor

attractions.

Abbotsford House

Discover Abbotsford, the home of Sir Walter Scott; one of Scotland’s most fascinating places. Created almost 200 years ago on the banks of the River Tweed in the Scottish Borders, Abbotsford was the culmination of Scott’s creative ambitions as a writer and the fount of his inspiration.

Melrose Abbey

Melrose Abbey is a magnificent ruin on a grand scale with lavishly decorated masonry. The Abbey is the burial place of Robert the Bruce’s heart, marked with a commemorative carved stone plaque within the grounds.
