What is Keysight Software Manager (KSM)

Keysight Software Manager (KSM) is a web site where you can get licenses and software updates for Keysight products you have purchased. KSM also provides you the ability to see all your purchased Keysight licenses and subscriptions and perform other related actions.

Entitlement Certificate

You will receive an entitlement certificate with your purchase of SW licenses and support. This certificate contains very important information and you will need the order number and certificate number from the top right corner to complete your registration or to add new entitlements to your existing KSM profile.

How to Register for the first time

To use the KSM system, you must first register a login email and password. Note, you will need your Order Number and Certificate Number to proceed.

Step 1: Go to http://www.keysight.com/find/softwaremanager and click Register

Step 2: Complete the registration page and click the Create Account button at the bottom.

Step 3: On confirmation page click on the login button.

Step 4: Log in using the email and password you just created

Step 4: Once logged in you will land on your Home page. If you wish to redeem your licenses now, visit

“Requesting Licenses”

How do I register with KSM if I already have a Keysight login?

If you already have registered with Keysight but have not utilized KSM before, please follow the below instructions. Note, you will need your Order Number and Certificate Number to proceed.

Step 1: Go to http://www.keysight.com/find/softwaremanager and click Login Step 2: Enter your email and password then click Log In

Step 3: Enter the order number and certificate number, click Continue

Step 4: Once logged in you will be presented with a confirmation page to add your entitlement certificate. Click Add Certificate

Step 5: You can redeem your licenses immediately or save for later. Choose Yes or No and click the OK button

If you select No, you can get the licenses later by logging into your account and selecting the “You can request new licenses” option.

KSM Home Screen

Once you are logged into KSM you will land on your Home Screen. Based on what entitlements you have you may see the following action bubbles.

You can add a new certificate You can request new licenses You can get updates

Add a new certificate

If you have made additional purchases, you will need to add your entitlement to your profile before being able to redeem your licenses.

Step 1: From your home screen - Click You can add a new certificate Step 2: Enter your order number and certificate number, click Continue

Step 3: You will see a summary of what entitlements will be added to your profile - click Add Certificate Step 4: You can redeem your licenses immediately or save for later. Choose Yes or No and click OK

If you select No, you can get the licenses later, by logging into your account and selecting the “You can request new licenses” option.

Requesting licenses

Note: if you have just added a new certificate via “You can add a new certificate” to your profile you will skip Step 1 and will start at Step 2.

Step 1: From your home screen - Click You can request new licenses

Step 2: Click the dropdown menu for “Click to add a host” and select “Add a new host” or select from previously used hosts.

Step 3: Enter the host information according to the instructions on the right side of the page. Select the checkboxes for the license options you wish to assign, click Assign Licenses.

Note: for certain types of product options you may also have to add in the “quantity to assign” value before clicking on “Assign Licenses”.

Step 4: Look at the Assigned Licenses box to validate the information entered is correct. Click Continue Step 5: Enter the email address where you wish to receive the license files. Enter any additional email addresses in the CC field (this is optional). Click Submit

Step 6: You will see a confirmation page. Click OK to finish and return to your home page.

License Notification Email

After requesting a licenses, you will receive an email from [email protected] . The email will contain your license key codes or license files, depending on the product requested. Key codes will appear in the body of the email, and license files will be attachments.

The body of the email will contain general instructions on how to install the license. Follow the instructions appropriate for the instrument you’re using.

Available software updates

When a software update is made to a product you have entitlement too, you will receive an email notification. Follow the steps below to obtain that software update.

Step 1: From your home screen - Click You can get updates to see your entitled software releases Step 2: Select an update by clicking on the Update name

Step 3: All update items for that release will be available for download or to request
