Greetings from the Principal,

In an effort to simplify collection in the cafeteria we are requesting that only checks or MySchoolBucks.com be used from now on. Thanks for your help in this matter.

We have two home basketball games this week. Our games are Tuesday, Jan. 14th and Friday, Jan. 17th. Any students who attend will receive a free dress down. We will also have a Pep Rally on Friday at 2:30 in the gym to cheer on our basketball and archery teams. Everyone is welcome!!

Monday, January 20th is a free day from school as we celebrate Martin Luther King Day.

Catholic Schools Week begins on Sunday, January 26th. See the flyers attached to Monday packets or on the website. (holyfamilyashland.weebly.com)

Our SCRIP incentive is Moe’s this month. They will donate 40% of the purchase price back to the school!! The person who buys the most Moe’s during the month of January will receive free Moe’s bucks for February!!

Save the Date!! Saturday March 14 is our annual Luck of the Irish 5K and St.

Paddy’s party!!!

Elementary

• STREAM activity "Build a Bed for Goldilocks" that is just right. Students must use the selected

materials on hand and build to specifications.

Middle School and High School:

• "PARCOS" an economic game that teaches students about supply and demand, working together, and managing resources.

After School Programs

This week we are going to work on Letter P for penguin, polar bears and other P things, we will do lots of crafts and read books.

Please make sure you have signed up for our text alerts/callout system especially as we start to get cooler weather. This will let families know about delays and closings.

Monday the 20th we will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King Day.

Catholic Schools Week

Friday, January 31st: Vocations Day Eucharistic Adoration following Mass

Special Movie times for classes.

Teachers will be treated to an afterschool reception with Father Andy

MEGA MASS~Grades 6-10 will travel to Lexington.

All students attending Mega Mass wear your Navy Blue HFS sweatshirt.

The Knights of Columbus will host a free Spaghetti Dinner immediately following Mass, in the church basement. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend!

100th Day of School Celebration

Donuts & Drinks for students will be served after morning mass Students will bring in items to be distributed to Church without Walls.

Students may wear a 100th day of school decorated shirt with their uniform bottoms.
