The Learning Management Systems Administrator (LMSA) is responsible for the design, administration and maintenance of the Learning Management System and facilitates learners in acquiring knowledge, skills and competencies in an effective and appealing manner.
Essential Criteria
Bachelor’s degree required in instructional design, educational technology or similar
Demonstrated experience in working with and knowledge of CANVAS;
Experience in Instructional Design for e-learning required;
Experience delivering courseware in both a classroom setting as well as on-line required
Proven capability to take a training project from start to finish required and work record of accuracy and
attention to detail;
Interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and ability to relate to other people and to work co-operatively as a member of a team;
Strong presentation, communication, writing, organization and technical skills required
Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects with moderate guidance from management required
Ability to work both in a team environment and autonomously;
Experience with MS Office products such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio required
Ability to meet domestic and international travel requirements if needed
Fluent in English (both spoken and written)
Full working rights for Spain.
Desirable Criteria
High level of computer/keyboard skills;
Data management and data entry and reporting capability;
Experience with synchronous live session tools (e.g. Collaborate/Webex)
Experience with Reporting and Analytics;
Experience with Mobile learning tools and video solution (e.g. Youtube/Vimeo) as well as audio solution (e.g. audacity)
Basic HTML and Flash programming knowledge
Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) and ability to storyboard
MA/MSc degree in instructional design, educational technology or similar

2. Overview and Objectives of the Position:
The Learning Management Systems Administrator (LMSA) is responsible for the design, administration and maintenance of the Learning Management System and facilitates learners in acquiring knowledge, skills and competencies in an effective and appealing manner.
The LMSA also provides advice and support for SAE’s users of the learning management system and suite of learning technologies (staff and students). The LMSA liaises with the EU Learning, Teaching and Curriculum Committee on specific training needs and development priorities as part of a quality enhancement cycle for all delivery modes.

4. Key accountabilities that are part of the role:
i. Ensuring learning management system setup delivers on staff and student
expectations to enable learning and improved student experience;
ii. Ensuring learning management system setup consistency in a multi language environment;
iii. Ensuring learning management system comply with the different local regulations
in the region;
iv. Provide technical support to users of the Learning Management System, including:
a. Implementation of updates/upgrades & changes into the systems to suit SAE needs
b. Provide feedback and recommendations on upgrade of new applications and or systems and transfer of content/data migration
c. Current courses maintenance d. Build of new courses
v. Work with SME’s (Subject Matter Experts = EU LTCC & Regional Programme
Leaders) to design and develop online courses
vi. Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods and conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts
vii. Align course activities, learning materials, and assessments with learning objectives
viii. Design and create course content, materials, learning activities and assessments for web-based training
ix. Create dynamic, engaging, and objective specific contents for web-based learning
x. Update / Revise videos and learning materials as needed
xi. Design and implement assessment tools for content and learning objectives
xii. Reporting on the LMS.
xiii. Propose innovations, when and if relevant;

eLearning Design Collaborate with programme committees and EU LTCC in
designing, creating and developing the web-based training.
Create template design for the online learning environment.
Create dynamic, engaging, and objective specific contents for web-based learning (i.e: videos, softwares intergations, quizzies, games, apps..)
Learning Management System Maintenance
Ensure course materials available on the LMS are aligned with program curriculum.
Ensure that key elements of the cloned courses are reset, eg dates, gradebook, assessments, file structure architecture.
Ensuring old courses are hidden from view and archived. Attend professional development appropriate to keep up to date to online delivery trends and technologies (at least once a trimester).
Learning Management System training and Support
Support for the learning management system and related technologies.
Creating and/or managing CANVAS accounts for staff as required.
Managing roles and permissions for each member within CANVAS.
Contribute to student and staff orientation.
Work with academic and student services staff to build their confidence and capability in using the learning management system.
Development of induction and training materials in relation to new and existing processes for staff.
