Gifted = MILE Program services in ELA and S.S.
Magnet = Application process required; Enhanced, Gifted, AC and Accelerated courses integrated with STEM-related themes/topics
STEM/STEAM for All = Exciting whole school hands-on STEM/STEAM projects in the Fall and Spring
MYP (IB Middle Years Programme) = IB MYP instructional framework and Learner Profile integrated with the Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) Enhanced = Challenging level of courses for qualifying students
Connections/Remedial Education Program (REP) = Support and intervention classes for students below grade level in Reading and/or Mathematics
Advanced Content = Gifted students are automatically placed (ELA & S.S.) and qualifying students who meet the criteria for those ELA and S.S.
Accelerated 6/7 Math = Rigorous math course for qualifying students

PROCEDURES
Car riders may be dropped off between 8:45 a.m. and
9:15 a.m.
Doors open at 8:45 a.m.
Classes are held from 9:15 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Dismissal starts at 4:00 p.m. daily
We offer BSP starting at 6:30 a.m. and ASP until 6:30
p.m. This is housed at MCAA across the street.
MSGA IS A NO BULLYING ZONE
Bullying is not permitted on any MCS campus.
Students are encouraged to report bullying
immediately.
Students can report to teachers, administrators,
office personnel, or counselors.

Electronic Devices
Personal technology (BYOT) is restricted to usage only under the
following two conditions:
Only with the permission and under the guidance of the
classroom teacher
A signed BYOT contract by a parent
Social Media is prohibited at MSGA due to age restrictions
(13+ and over)

WORLD LANGUAGE AND
ELECTIVE SELECTION
Students choose world language and electives in Aspen.
Once students sign in to Aspen, select either French or Spanish and a Fine Arts class (Art, Band, Chorus, Orchestra, or Theatre Arts).
The window to make world language and elective selections opens Monday, March 15 and closes Friday, March 26th .
If a world language and elective are not chosen in Aspen, the school will assign courses.
Students may not get their first elective choice. This is governed by space available.
