Prayer for Protection Against Storms

God our Father, Creator of the Universe and Lord over all creation, we humbly stand before you as your children in thanksgiving for your loving care and protection. We ask that you keep us safe from all hurricanes which may threaten us in

the coming seasons. Protect us from all fear and anxiety of storms and give us an ardent trust and hope in Your love and

mercy. You alone have the power to command the sea, the wind and the rain. You alone bring peace, calm, and safety.

Father, we thank you in advance, for you are our only Refuge.

Responders and fireworks to mark the 20th Anniversary of 9/11.

We Will Never Forget...

We will have parish group seating, as well as food vouchers. See Greg Cannata after the

Masses or see Ursula Orr in the Parish office during the week. Cost is $7 per ticket and

you have the option of buying food in advance: your choice of hotdog ($8) or hamburger

($10), (both come with chips and a fountain drink). Tickets must be purchased by

September 1st.

A Thought: Mass is Serious; Church is Fun; Parish is Family.

Religious Educaton Program (REP): Each family needs to register so we can confirm class sizes, classrooms,

books, supplies, etc. See Greg in the narthex after Masses or stop by the Parish Office to pick up your registration

form for this year’s Religious Education classes. We are offering weekly Parish Religious Education or Monthly Family

Religious Education—please indicate your preference on the registration form.

Mandatory Kick-off Meeting: August 29

th

at 11:30AM in the Education Center to inform parents about the

Religious Education Program for the coming year. We will begin together with parents, youth, and catechists, then

transition to parents with Greg and Lynn, while youth receive the first of two diocesan mandatory trainings on Virtus:

Empowering God’s Children. We will also have the annual schedule for you, with classes beginning on Sept 19th.

Catechists and Volunteers: We need support for our programs, especially a Confirmation Catechist. Contact Greg

if you would like to serve as a catechist for weekly Religious Education or as an adult mentor to our evening groups.

Loving God, Church, and Youth are the only requirements.

Thank you to all our Food Pantry Angels who support the Pantry with all your generous food donations. Monetary donations are also appreciated as well. With your help, we

will be able to continue helping families in our community.

Thank you for your generous support.

God Bless you all.

Last year, our churches re-opened on May 31st. Our parishioners were able to

attend Mass in person if they chose to do so. The collection numbers do not reflect

the $5,000/month donation from our very generous anonymous donor last year

and the corresponding matching amounts from our generous parish community.
