The basic MAM system consists of:
Uploading/Downloading Module

-MAM-UP-5200 upload workstation can ingest and pre-catalogue traditional media or video/audio signals.

-MAM-EP-5200 download workstation can complete programs/materials output and reuse programs/materials from the media system.
Program Management Module

-MAM-CAT cataloging workstation list the program materials into detailed catalogue. ·D3
-Browse is a search workstation conduct searches in browsing mode. Users can log on the search system through IE browser.
·System management workstation D3
-MAM-SOLE performs unified management to various configurations in media asset system.
·D3
-WEB application server provides various services such as search, uniform user verification, workflow monitoring and depot management.
·Media asset data bridge server offers platform for data exchange between systems. ·Transcode server provides format conversion service for program materials.
·DMS-200 series of Media Storage Server can replace disk array in medium and small-size network.
Storage Management Module
·D3-STMG is the storage management server responsible of migration management and policy as well as auto control of data flow.
·D3
-STMV acts as the storage migration and tape-library control server，it moves program materials as well as auto control of data flow.
Central Storage Unit
·D3
-MAM uses the storage device with FC interface as the central storage unit. D3-MAM has rather high requirement on bandwidth.
MDC Server
·MDC server is used for the creation and management of file sharing system under SAN environment.
·One MDC server can achieve the creation and management of file sharing system. If two MDC servers are used to create and manage file sharing system, the master-backup manner HA application can be realized, thus, the reliability of MDC is thus enhanced.
Database Server
·Database server uses different databases to store and manage original data on network, and it provides database service for all client ends.
·One database server can realize data management and database service. If two database servers are used to build a database service cluster, the security of database and the reliability of database service can be improved.
Transcode Center
·D3-Transco can be used to perform video/audio encoding and decoding works in D3-MAM. D3-Transco series of products can encode/decode video/audio materials into needed formats.
