planning and control are linked with manager, supervisor and operative training.

experience in the management of all projects, our accreditations are evidence of the practice maintained by the company.

Environmental
• Current Legislation, public pressure and ethical business responsibility is
demanding that this must include full environmental consideration of both direct and indirect effects of all aspects of operations of the company and each construction project. There is a need to rebuild a sustainable environment and the reduction of pollution must be examined in the use of land, materials, resources and processes.
• Tercon Limited recognises this need and it’s position in contributing to the
environment, the company operates a formal approach to this policy documented in a full environmental policy statement supported by robust management procedures.
• In July 2013 the company achieved accreditation to BS8555 Environmental
Management Standard.
Geographical Coverage
• Most of our work is carried out over a
wide area of the South West of England and South Wales, within a 50 – 60 mile radius of Bristol, this includes Swindon, Cardiff, Cheltenham, Exeter, Salisbury and Seaton.
• Contracts have been carried out at
greater distances, where client relationships or unique project
experience and knowledge have taken us.
Accreditations
Tercon maintains accreditation to a number of industry bodies that verify credentials of our business across quality, health and safety management, business standards and project performance.
The company also maintains membership of training and compliance organisations that support our services and aid the development of our staff and our business.
These accreditations apply to specialist industry sectors which Tercon service and in some instances are maintained specifically for the benefit of business with particular major customers.

Tesco Store Infrastructure
Nailsea, Bristol. Client: Tesco Stores
New adoptable highways with three roundabouts, pedestrian areas, light controlled crossing and extensive sewer and services works in both new installations and diversions.
Magor Brewery Site Upgrade Phases 1-4
Magor, Gwent Client: Inbev UK
Extensive concrete heavy goods haulingways and loading bays. Road re-construction and new compound areas and pedestrian site routes. Concrete bunded structures and a new heavy goods trailer wash were also installed.
Ashlands Pump Station 3
Port Marine, Portishead, Bristol
Client: Persimmon Special Projects.
Installation of a 7m deep by 5m diameter pump station, rising main and deep sewers also required the construction of associated roads, coffer dam, segmental sections and the mechanical installation were all included.
Cullompton Fuel Distribution Depot
Cullompton, Devon Client: Watson Petroleum
A complete brown field re-development for a new distribution terminal including a bunded tank farm and single storey office. Extensive environmental protection was required due to the
surrounding high water table.
National Cycle Network
South West England Client: Sustrans
Sections of cycle path have been completed from Seaton to Bath, Chard and Highbridge. Including work along disused railway lines and adjacent to watercourses. The works have included all associated seating, fencing, signage and highway works.

Faculty of Aeronautical Engineering
Parkway Campus, Bristol. Client: City of Bristol College.
Design and build of a new building comprising classrooms,
workshops, staff accommodation and a hangar for two aircraft, also a separate wind tunnel test building was erected.. The design
development through extensive user consultation eliminated variation.
New Offices and Store
07N, Filton, Bristol Client: Airbus UK
A three storey office building and parts store were built to meet client requirements. The building was fully serviced including a full sprinkler system. Completion included full floor coverings and welfare with kitchenettes and meeting areas.
Distribution Warehouse Extension
St Phillips, Bristol Client: National Mobile Windscreens
Design and Build of a 14,000 sq ft warehouse on 120 CFA piles. Completed working around the clients national headquarters on-going operations. .
New Tyre Depot and Offices
Avonmouth, Bristol
Client: Barry Shaddick Tyres
Design and build of a three bay commercial tyre fitting depot incorporating a regional office headquarters along with welfare facilities. The building was on piled foundation with extensive yards and heavy goods access.

Administration Depot.
Barrow Gurney, Bristol Client: Bristol Water
A turnkey design and build project from concept. User consultation involved several groups to develop a complete facility to meet future demands for regional maintenance of the water mains network.
Groundworks and Plant
Preparation of brown-field sites, enabling requirements including earth re-modelling retaining structures, drainage schemes and bulk excavations, new infrastructure for enabling development or construction.
• With an owned plant fleet and experience including many thousands of cubic
metres of excavation, filling, grading, importing and disposal of all types of soils and materials, Tercon can design, plan, mobilise and complete projects up to £3m in value.

Sample Projects – Groundworks and Plant
The Preadium, Redland Bristol.
Client: Carillion
The enabling works for a major city centre residential development included a 4000 cubic metre bulk rock excavation. The material was crushed on site and re-used on this and other projects as hardcore with surplus material sold to the market. Other enabling works included highway and public domain re-paving, road and footpath alterations and associated services and drainage works.
Pioneer Park
Whitby Road, Bristol Client: BAM Construction
Prior to development the large site was covered with concrete slabs and pad foundations. Following two weeks of breaking up slabs and foundations all concrete was crushed and spread as a hardcore mat over the site area.
Littledown Reservoir
Shaftesbury, Dorset Client: Wessex Water
The requirement was to rapidly install a concrete base with perimeter drainage to facilitate the installation of a series of temporary clean water reservoir tanks to enable remedial works on the permanent structures.
Reinforced Earth Embankment
Paulton, BANES Client: Provectus Group
As part of a major re-development scheme the reinforced embankment was created to provide development zones. Tercon also carried out highway works to create new entrances, pedestrian crossing and roundabout re-configuration for the development.
