We are doing our utmost to make permanent improvements to the acces-sibility of our trains and stations.

The Guide for Passengers with Reduced Mobility tells you all about the services SNCB Mobility provides to help you travel by train.

This guide can be read and downloaded in enlarged format on www.sncb.be. It can also be obtained in Braille by e-mailing [email protected]

ORGANISING YOUR TRIP

Door-to-door timetables

To make the most of your journey, check out our journey planner! It gives you all the train timetables in real time, as well as the information on your trip from door to door.

You can see the journey planner on www.sncb.be or phone the Call Center on

02 528 28 28 (open daily from 07.00 to 21.00).

Train timetables in real time are also available by mobile phone via our site, m.sncb.be

ASSISTANCE MADE TO MEASURE

We provide a free service especially designed to simplify your train jour-neys from your departure station to your arrival station.

Before your journey

If you use a non-folding or electric wheelchair

As a disabled person in a wheelchair you can enjoy special assistance 7

days a week from the first train to the last in 114 stations.

If you are disabled but have no wheelchair, or have a folding wheel-chair

As a disabled person without a wheelchair or who has a folding wheelchair, you can enjoy special assistance 7 days a week from the first train to the

last in 114 stations and in the other Belgian stations as well, provided that

staff is available.

However, to benefit from our special assistance service, you need to contact us at least 24 hours before your departure:

We’re open daily from 07.00 to 21.00. Just tell us the date when you’ll be travelling, the route you want to take, and the kind of assistance you’ll need.

Important

Using the booking form on our website, www.sncb.be

For greater ease, register on www.sncb.be in our My SNCB customer space, and enter your personal details. Then you’ll be registered and save time when you want to book in future.

Once you’ve registered, fill in your assistance application by entering the details of your journey - day and time of departure or arrival.

Then choose the kind of assistance you would like according to your situation:

• Folding wheelchair

(you can leave your wheelchair)

• Non-folding wheelchair

(you can’t leave your wheelchair)

• Electric wheelchair (the chair – including the user – can weigh up to 300 kg and measure up to 75 cm wide by 120 cm long).

• Disabled person with no wheelchair

• Blind or partially-sighted traveller

For a made-to-measure service - book 24 hours in advance!

You’ll be given confirmation and a guarantee:

- of assistance at your departure, connection and destination stations;

- of the availability of a seat on the train;

- of help when entering and leaving the train, with a mobile ramp if necessary.

On the day of your journey:

So that our personnel can help you as much as possible, you should arrive at the meeting point arranged when you booked assistance, with your ticket, at

least 15 minutes before your train is due to leave.

TAILORED FARES

SNCB Mobility offers various tailored fares, either with a “Free Carer” card or a “National Reduced Fare Card”. If you have a “Free Carer” card, your assistant can travel free of charge.

Thanks to our Ticket on Line service, you can buy and print your ticket at home via the Internet.
