Make-A-Wish® is the recognized global leader in wish-granting. It has granted a phenomenal 270,000 children’s wishes worldwide. The Australian affiliate of the charity had a wish of its own - for high-functioning IT systems.
Our Client
Make-A-Wish Australia is a high-profile charity that brings hope, strength and joy by granting the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. Make-A-Wish has more than 1100 volunteers across 57 branches. The National Office is in Melbourne, with
corporate offices in QLD, NSW and WA. Make-A-Wish raises money through direct donations, cause-related marketing, sponsorship, annual appeals, and business partnerships. Volunteers, who conduct a variety of events from sausage sizzles and trivia nights, to major gala balls, also raise considerable funds.
The not for profit operates in accordance with strict Government fundraising regulations. High-functioning IT systems are critical for compliance with financial record keeping, and for Make-A-Wish to manage its wide network of volunteers efficiently and effectively.

Port Kembla Coal Terminal was seeking to outsource management of its ICT infrastructure. AVC’s Managed Services Team was successful in winning this business.
Our Client
Port Kembla Coal Terminal (PKCT) is a coal exporting facility 70 km south of Sydney. It serves two of the nation’s richest coal
reserves, the Southern and Western coalfields of New South Wales, exporting high quality coking and steaming coal around the world. PKCT is operated by a consortium of coal producers whose interests are best served by ensuring fast, reliable handling at the port. PKCT has a reputation for quick vessel turnaround times and for its ability to handle many cargo sizes up to 166,000 tonne bulk carriers. This is evidenced by the fact that PKCT has been a dispatch port for several years.
