MEET THE MEDIA AT MAPIC

SEND INFO TO THE PRESS

MAPIC is an opportunity to meet international journalists specialised in retail and retail property. The information and events related to MAPIC are very numerous, that is why we advise you to target your communication and to adapt your actions according to the message you want to convey.

Also, as MAPIC is an international event, remember to communicate in English.

SET UP INTERVIEWS

ORGANISE AN EVENT

What is the nature of your message? Are you launching a new real estate project? Are you promoting

a development which will be exhibited in Cannes? Are you announcing corporate news or releasing a CEO’s statement?

Use the MAPIC Online Database to reach out to the media: download the press list, contact the journalists, upload your press documents, etc.

If you have a major announcement and are planning on organising a special event during the show, remember to broaden your audience by inviting the press and other MAPIC delegates.

Don’t forget to include your event in the official MAPIC programme (previous page).

Journalists are very busy during the event, that is why it is better to target journalists who might be interested in your topic and territory.

Don’t forget you can setup one-to-one interviews on your stand if you are an exhibitor or in the Press Club (Palais-1) if you are a visitor.

(9)

Identify the best format to convey your message: one-to-one interviews, press cocktail, photo-call, press conference…

Define the best timing to schedule your event depending on the MAPIC agenda and competing events such as MAPIC conferences

Target the most relevant journalists attending MAPIC for your communication

Use the available MAPIC tools* made to promote your event: • How to post your communications on the MAPIC website • How to inform journalists of your event during MAPIC • How to contact journalists coming to MAPIC
