Following the July 2021 Schools Covid 19 Operational Guidance we now have to produce a plan for return in September 2021 following Step 4 of the Government road map.
Mixing and bubbles
● No bubbles will be needed and we no longer have to avoid mixing. Tracing close contacts and isolation
● Schools will not need to contact trace from Step 4 this will be done by the NHS.
● From August 16th 2021, students under the age of 18 will no longer be required to self-isolate if they are contacted by the NHS Test and Trace as a close contact of a positive case.
Face coverings
● From step 4, face coverings will no longer be advised for students, staff and visitors either in classrooms or in communal areas.
● Face coverings are recommended to be worn on public transport and school transport currently.
● If there is an outbreak in school the director of public health might advise school that face coverings should temporarily be worn.
Stepping measures up and down
● If there is an outbreak in school or the local area we have an outbreak management plan. These measures will be implemented as a last resort and the shortest time possible.
● The Central Government may offer local areas of particular concern an enhanced response package to help limit transmission.
● If we have several confirmed cases within 14 days, it may be classed as an outbreak.
Control measures
You should:
1. Ensure good hygiene for everyone 2. Maintain appropriate cleaning regimes 3. Keep occupied spaces ventilated
Final School Plan
The rationale for the timetable this year is flexibility. It has been designed to enable full coverage of the curriculum but also to slightly reduce movement around school and enable the separate breaks and lunchtimes.
The 2021 Timetable has the following:
● 5 lessons per day. (Lesson 3+4 double lesson plus lunch sessions) ● Workshop Session every day 9.00 - 9.30
● Separate year break times ● Separate year lunchtimes Pastoral Bases
From September we will be revising the Form Bases and Form Rooms. As a transitional strategy we will be keeping the bases we currently have this year as zones.
● Students will have coaching, registration and Workshop in the designated Form Room.
● The Head of Year and link member of SLT will be based in the same office. Year Group Base Area Designated Area HOY & SLT Base

Testing Plan September 2021 and staggered return plan.

Settings may commence testing 3 working days before the start of term and can stagger the return of pupils across the first week to manage this. Students will continue to test twice weekly at home until the end of September, when this is reviewed.
