Analogue lines allow one incoming or outgoing call at any one time, for voice calls, fax or
broadband. Multi Lines are a collection of analogue lines on the same number, usually connected to a phone system and allowing more concurrent calls. ISDN2 is a 2 channel digital line that can be used for voice, data, video or fax, and can allocate separate phone numbers to users. ISDN30 is like ISDN2 but supports between 8 and 30 channels. SIP Trunks are IP phone lines; a modern alternative to ISDN lines. SIP Trunks are more preferable due to being more cost-effective, Installed at a fraction of the time and cost of ISDN, For company’s wanting to make full use of their installed telephone solutions by having a SIP trunk provided by an Internet Service Provider to connect to the traditional PSTN network is the solution. The Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) is a communications protocol for signaling and controlling multimedia communication sessions. The most common applications of Session Initiation Protocols are in Internet telephony for voice and video calls, as well as instant messaging all over Internet Protocol (IP) networks. Unlike in traditional telephony, where bundles of physical wires were once delivered from the service provider to a business. A Session Initiation Protocol trunk allows a company to replace these traditional fixed PSTN lines with PSTN connectivity via a SIP trunking service provider on the Internet. SIP trunks can offer significant cost-savings for companies by eliminating the need for local PSTN gateways and costly ISDN circuits by routing the calls over a data circuit instead.
There are three components necessary to successfully deploy SIP trunks: a telephone solution with SIP-enabled trunks, a network edge device understanding Session Initiation Protocol and a SIP trunking service provider. Choose any local area number regardless of location and can be used with all phone systems, IP-enabled or not.

ADSL ADSL and ADSL2+ business broadband from Maximum provides exceptionally fast bandwidth using the latest network technologies. ADSL 2+ is rate adaptive and so will provide the best possible speed that your telephone line will support up to a maximum downstream of 24Mb and upstream of 1Mb with the Premium service. ADSL2+ broadband is a cost effective Internet circuit allowing you to download and send data effectively within a range of applications giving you both reliability and business grade performance. ADSL2+ is best suited for normal business Internet usage – for companies looking to send large files, emails or network other offices or home workers then MPLS or Leased Line may be more beneficial. MPLS We help businesses of all kinds achieve more by streamlining operations, reducing costs and improving efficiency. Working in partnership with our clients we review their business needs and put forward the right solution for them, whether that be continue with their current solution, move forward with a migration plan into a new solution over time or move straight into a new solution and Unified Communications. Unified Communications allows an individual to send a message on one medium and receive the same communication on another medium. For example, one can receive a voicemail message and choose to access it through e-mail or a cell phone. If the sender is online according to the presence information and currently accepts calls, the response can be sent immediately through text chat or video call. Otherwise, it may be sent as a non-real-time message that can be accessed through a variety of media. The whole area of Unified Communications may seem complex and confusing, but we excel at making it beautifully simple and surprisingly affordable, not forgetting stress-free. We can bring your business all the advantages of this new technology: Streamline processes Drive down costs Improve communication and collaboration Increase connectivity and flexibility, enabling a more agile workforce Boost productivity and efficiency Eliminate risks, downtime and lost data Increase security and reliability with resilient disaster recovery systems

Fibre Fibre broadband is a new type of broadband that is currently being deployed in the UK which uses fibre optic cables to help increase the speed of your broadband connection. It is often referred to as ‘super-fast broadband’ or ‘next-generation broadband’ as it offers faster speeds than have been available to date using older generation networks. Fibre or commonly known as Fibre-to-the-Cabinet (FTTC) involves running fibre optic cables from the telephone exchange or distribution point to the street cabinets which then connect to a standard phone line to provide broadband. This is combined with a copper cable from the cabinet to the home or business which uses VDSL or similar technology that can deliver much faster speeds over shorter distances Leased Line Leased Lines give you more than a standard broadband or fibre line. Because you don’t share the bandwidth with anyone else, you get a guaranteed speed. And the high bandwidth also means multiple users can be online at the same time without any effect on the speed. A leased line is a private high-performance circuit leased by a common carrier between a customer and a service provider’s network. It is rented on an annual basis and usually carries voice and data or both. Leased lines are often used in site to site connectivity solutions. Leased lines are mostly used for either internet access or used privately between two customer sites (Point to Point Leased Line). Unlike a dial-up connection, a leased line is always active. Similarly unlike broadband, a leased line is not contended or shared and delivers dedicated guaranteed bandwidth straight to the internet backbone. Customers pay a premium for a leased line and it is supported by a comprehensive Service-Level Agreement (SLA) with a guaranteed fix time and a compensation clause. Otherwise referred to as a point to point, private circuit, private line or dedicated access. Ethernet First Mile (EFM)
Dramatically increase your speed for a fraction of the price with Ethernet First Mile (EFM). Ethernet First Mile (EFM) offers symmetric performance, perfect for boosting your company’s performance. Whether you need to move more resources online, take advantage of cloud computing services such as SIP Trunks, or just want to give your users the best experience possible, Ethernet First Mile is right for you. By using copper pairs bonded at the exchange and at your premises, EFM can reduce costs – especially against leased line costs. The service is impressively fast – speeds can be as high as 20Mbps – and is more reliable and cost-effective than SDSL, traditional leased lines and smaller fibre circuits. And as there is also considerably less chance of an Ethernet First Mile service requiring civil engineering works, the associated installation costs are significantly lower.
