By driving our 4 LEDs in each pixel

independently, we are able to share adjacent pixels and LED’s horizontally and vertically which enhances our display resolution by doubling the pixel density. It is this enhanced pixel technology that provides our customers with superior image quality at the cost of our competitor’s lower resolution displays.

Excellent off angle readership without any color shift, because of our single bin LED technology we have 100% uniformity when viewing the LED screen at different angles up to almost 170 degrees. As a result, the viewing audience has a better looking image for a longer read time.

Formetco’s F4X digital EMC signs only use LEDs with the same binning for the red, blue and green diodes. This produces an image that remains consistent in color and clarity at extreme viewing angles without unnecessary calibration. Using single binned LED’s is a more expensive way to manufacture EMC signs, but in doing so we know we are offering our customers the highest quality and longest life EMC’s on the market.

Our Full Color LED signs have 64-bit processing, 18 quintillion colors - Formetco has the most advanced color processing technology with extreme color depth, that benefits from the 4 LED pixel and single LED bin advantages.

Dedicated LAN Connection (Hard Wire Connection)

A dedicated Ethernet or Fiber connection can be run to the sign which connects to your existing network or a private network to your scheduling PC. Fiber connections are recommended for distances over 180 feet. The internal sign PC can be programmed prior to shipment with the appropriate IP schema to integrate to an existing network.

Wireless Bridge

A wireless bridge is used in locations where there is not a dedicated LAN connection to the sign structure. A wireless radio is mounted on the outside of the sign structure pointing back to another wireless radio mounted on the outside of the building. The wireless radio is then wired to a dedicated port on the scheduling PC or into an existing network. The wireless radios can operate up 1000’ in an unobstructed line of site. For installations into an existing LAN, z information will need to be obtained prior to shipment for setup into the wireless bridge radios and the sign PC.

Wireless Router

A wireless 802.11 Router / Access Point is placed internally in the sign. A laptop is then used to connect to the sign Wi-Fi network for content updates. A wireless network name and password will be sent with the data sheet for the sign.
