Introduction

Overwhelmed by numbers? • Calendar Counts • Anniversaries • Resistance Cards • Time by Degrees • Cycles within cycles • Old Tops and Bottoms • Squares

GATE (GANN Analysis Through Excel) can help. Let me show you how.

Keeping track of all the information that is required through the use of the GANN systems becomes more and more difficult as you try to cover more Markets. This is especially true if you include CFD’s into your analysis.

GATE makes it possible to very quickly produce a set of tables and spreadsheets that will enable you to do an in depth analysis within an hour of setting up a new Instrument. Thereafter the GATE is updated only when significant new Turning Points have been formed. Each Instrument is updated separately and will be completed in a matter of minutes.

Mr GANN would have loved spreadsheets if they were around when he was trading.

System Highlights

The purpose of the GATE is to assist with the analysis of any Instrument in any Market using many of the GANN technique. GATE System does many of the cumbersome calculations and house keeping activities that are required if you want to use the GANN analysis. Past performance of ranges and time can easily be examined and projected forward. Clustering of Time uses both Calendar Day and the Ephemeris. GATE maintains the time consuming Reference charts and squares.

GATE is NOT a Trading System and does not attempt to do an analysis of an Instrument nor predict future moves. The intention of the GATE System is to provide a set of tools that will assist with your analysis of an Instrument and assist with keeping track of future events and dates to watch. GATE assists you in identifying past time ranges that have worked and project these into the future thereby forming a Cluster of dates that fall due on the same date or on dates very close together.

Each Instrument is treated separately and in its own Folder. GATE uses a set of spreadsheets that are maintained and updated.

Setting up a New Market is quick and easy – allowing to start your analysis within an hour after getting started (assuming you are familiar with the system).

GATE Modules currently available

Please NOTE: The modules are NOT independent of each other. Module 1 is always required as it maintains the data bases required. Module 2 is required if you want Module 3.

The following GATE modules are currently available. Module 1

1. Pull Down Menu

• A Pull Down Menu is created to simplify the use and navigation through GATE.

2. Data base maintenance

• Maintain various Turning Point tables • End of Day Data

• Swing history and information • Its own Ephemeris tables

• Individual Time By Degrees files for each Instrument based on its own Anniversary date

3. Reference Charts and tables with Turning Points highlighted

• Time by Degrees tables based on Seasonal Dates and Instrument anniversary dates

• Reference charts – Wall Charts, Squares

o Produce 30, 45, 60 and 90 degree Wall Charts Turning Points are highlighted within each reference chart,

o Produces various squares such as the Squares of 52, 144, 252, 229 (458), etc. –

You can define the base number to be used based on an Instrument.

Turning Points are highlighted within each Square, o These squares can be created using Price or Time (dates)

• Produces the Square of 4 and the Square of 9 with Turning Points highlighted and a set of rotating wheels (under macro control – NOT click and drag).

Square have Bull Market and Bear Market Date surrounds • Produce the Squares of 4 and 9 using time (date) at the centre Module 2

1. History Analysis - Calendar Day Counts Analysis and GANN Emblem dates analysis

(4)

Pricing Page 4 • GATE extracts Calendar Days Counts (as well as Trading Day Counts and Price Ranges) between Turning Points and counts the number of occurrences for each count since the first trading day of that Instrument. These are weighted and sorted for further analysis.

• GATE will extract and display all instances where a selected Calendar Day count (or Trading Day or Price Range) has occurred in the past. You can define a Tolerance level to be applied.

• A report is created which will include 50%, 100% and 200% past occurrences of selected Calendar Day Counts

• GATE maintains a separate Workbook where you can save Ranges (Time and Price) that you have analysed and may want to refer in the future. 2. A Chart showing past and future time clusters

• After you have selected the Calendar Day Ranges that have worked in the past you can back test these against past the performance of that market. Using a weighting system applied to past Turning Points a Chart is produced showing possible future Turning Points

• Potential future turning points –the Time ranges you have selected will be plotted on a Chart which you can monitor for a change in the market – (in Module 3 these dates are included in a diary where other information such as Time by Degrees dates or other repeating information is also recorded – thereby forming a potential Cluster.

3. A Chart showing past and future Price clusters

• After you have selected the Price Ranges that have worked in the past you can back test these against past the performance of that market. A Chart is produced showing possible future Price based Turning Points • Future potential turning points – the Price Ranges you have selected will

be plotted on a Chart which you can monitor for a change in the market. Module 3

4. Date Clustering through the use of a Calendar

• You can enter the long and short Term ABC ranges that are currently active in a Market. GATE will extract the dates of these ranges and project these dates into a future calendar thereby allowing you to keep track of repeating time frames for future Top to Top, Top to Bottom, Bottom to Top and Bottom to Bottom repeating time ranges

• This Calendar also includes when repeating Calendar Day counts (selected by you) are next due.

• Calendar also includes:

o Time by Degrees dates (based on seasonal and anniversary dates) o Squaring Hi and Low Turning Points

o Squaring Ranges (selected by You)

o Dates are then presented in a Calendar format which Clusters dates in the same time period.

(5)

5. Date Clustering through the use of a the dates based on the GANN emblem • For each major Turning Point a set of past dates are calculated for all the

dates based on the GANN emblem. You can analyse the tables looking for time cycles that have worked in the past.

• These tables allow you to examine past time frames at a glance to see which time frames are working.

• Each Turning Point is evaluated and the repeating time frames are weighted. These are then clustered and placed on a Chart which will show possible future Turning Points.

6. A Separate Matrix for various Time Frames as well as Price for all major and current Turning Points

• A separate Matrix is created showing the ranges between Turning Points for Calendar Days, Trading Days, Trading Week, Trading Months, Trading Degrees, and Price Matrix for all major and current Turning Points.

• A selected Range (Time or Price) can be highlighted in the Matrix to quickly identify where a Range has occurred in the past

• The Turning points pairs for the selected Range is extracted into a separate list to assist you with your analysis
