William Self Associates, Inc. (WSA) is one of the most respected full-service cultural re-source management firms in the U.S., covering all aspects of the discipline including historic and prehistoric archaeology, architectural history, and maritime archaeology/ remote sensing. With offices in northern California, southern Arizona, and our new office in central Texas, WSA conducts work in Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana, Arizona, Cali-fornia, Utah, and many other states throughout the Pacific, Southwest, and Southern regions of the U.S. WSA has had a successful first year in the new Austin based office and our project list is growing. Current projects include archival research, survey, testing and mitigation of an energy development project on the Spindletop Oil Field National Historic Landmark in Beaumont, Texas, and survey with mechanical subsurface testing along the Rio Grande in west Texas and New Mexico. WSA has considerable experi-ence in pipeline construction under FERC jurisdiction working with multiple SHPOs and successfully meeting NHPA Section 106 requirements. WSA also specializes in highway projects and in meeting the special needs of cities, counties and regional authorities.
