INVESTITURE CEREMONY July 2,2014

To be a leader is not to be born special, or to be born with special talent, but to grow as an individual and to take that extra step to become special. It is about making the most out of every opportunity, and walking that extra mile to reach a milestone. It is about carving a niche for yourself, because after all, leaders aren’t born, they are created.

It was in this very spirit that Delhi Public School, Hyderabad celebrated its Investiture Ceremony on 2nd July 2014 at the school premises. The event began with the arrival of the Chief Guest Sri. Anjani Kumar, I.P.S. The theme of the programme was the qualities of an ideal leader. Qualities such as courage, humility, and modesty were discussed all through the programme. The highlight of the day was “A Talk Show with a Difference” where parents of various students came together to discuss the true implications of leadership in today’s world, and what a great leader is made of. The new leaders were then appointed to office. The Principal and the Chief Guest addressed the students and gave them valuable advice on how to become great leaders of the future. The chief guest emphasized on how the world has become a wider place in terms of opportunities and exposure to new value systems. The event ended with a speech by the Head Boy, Jainish Yerra followed by the Vote of Thanks proposed by the Head Girl, Shivani Prasad.
