CHECK LIST
Before proceeding further, be sure to follow these 3 important steps:
Step 1: Have an Override Key available. 3 keys came with the safe.
Step 2: Have a Phillips-Head Screwdriver available.
Step 3: Remove the battery. Pay close attention to avoid pulling or tugging on keypad face or wires. It is crucial that all wires stay intact and connected for the lock to operate. Please note, you are liable for any damages that occur to the lock while accessing the override key slot.
LOCATE THE OVERRIDE KEY SLOT
The Override Key is concealed (yet easy to access)
in case of an emergency or loss of code.
Step 1: Remove the battery.
Step 2: Locate the black “bubble sticker.” This is located at the top, center of the keypad. See Figure A.
Step 3: Remove the bubble sticker. Place the sticker aside, face down, so it does not stick to anything. Do not lose this sticker.
Step 4: Use your Phillips-Head
screwdriver to remove the screw that connects the keypad face to the keypad collar. See Figure B. The Keypad Face is the keypad and surrounding chrome edge. The Keypad Collar is the black housing that is attached to the safe. This houses the battery, wires and electronic components.
Step 5: Carefully let the keypad face hang with wires still attached. See Figure C. BUBBLE STICKER KEY SLOT

C
USING THE OVERRIDE KEY
Step 1: With the keypad face removed, locate the override key slot inside the keypad collar, on the right. See Figure D.
Step 2: Place the key into the slot. See Figure C. Make sure the key slides completely into the slot. See Figure D.
Step 3: Once key is snug, turn counter clockwise (left). Your safe will be unlocked. See Figure E.
REMOVING THE OVERRIDE KEY Step 1: Make sure the safe is in the
locked position.
Step 2: With the safe locked, turn the key clockwise (right) and remove it.
REINSTALL THE KEYPAD FACE
Be EXTREMELY careful with the wiring. Do NOT pinch wires in between the keypad face and the keypad collar.
Step 1: With your fingers, carefully grip the keypad face, holding it so the face is out and the numbers are right side-up.
Step 2: Reattach it to the keypad collar by inserting bottom first, so the notch connects, then carefully press the face into keypad collar casing.
Step 3: Once the keypad face is snug in place, screw the keypad face back to the keypad collar and replace the “bubble sticker.”

Troubleshooting
LOCK HAS NO RESPONSE (No Beeps) • Make sure the battery wires in the
keypad housing are not pinched and are securely connected.
• Lock may possibly be in the Lockout Penalty mode (See Incorrect Code Input / Lockout Mode on page 5). Wait 5 minutes and check to see if the lock responds/beeps.
• Replace the existing battery with a new one (See Install a NEW 9-Volt Battery on page 3).
LOCK IS RESPONDING BUT DOES NOT UNLOCK
• Make sure you are getting a valid response (beeps). • Make sure you get a signal
with every key stroke.
• Make sure you are not in Time Delay mode (See Open In Time Delay Mode on page 9).
• Replace the existing battery with a new one (See Install a NEW 9-Volt Battery on page 3).
