Ÿ Leave sanctioning authority may refuse or revoke any kind of leave.

Ÿ Leave will not be granted for staff under suspension.

Ÿ Leave begins from the date on which it is availed and ends on the day on which duty is resumed.

Ÿ Leave should always be applied for and sanctioned before it is taken.

Ÿ Absence from duty after expiry of leave entails disciplinary action.

Ÿ Absence without leave will constitute an interruption in service.

Ÿ A staff on leave should not take up any service or employment elsewhere without obtaining sanction of the competent authority.

Ÿ STAFF ON CASUAL LEAVE IS NOT TREATED AS ABSENT FROM DUTY.

Ÿ CASUAL LEAVE IS SUBJECTED TO A MAXIMUM OF 8 DAYS IN A YEAR AND CAN BE COMBINED WITH SPECIAL CASUAL LEAVE SUBJECTED TO A PERIOD OF 4 DAYS.

Ÿ CASUAL LEAVE SHOULD NOT BE GRANTED FOR MORE THAN 5 DAYS AT ANYTIME, EXCEPT UNDER SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES.

Ÿ CASUAL LEAVE CAN BE TAKEN AS HALF DAY AS AS WELL.

Ÿ MATERNITY LEAVE IS GRANTED TO FEMALE STAFF FOR A PERIOD OF 3 MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF ITS CONFINEMENT.

Ÿ MATERNITY LEAVE INCLUDES ONE MONTH BABY CARE LEAVE WHICH IS TREATED WITHOUT PAY.

Ÿ THE STAFF MEMBERS NEED TO PRODUCE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS FOR EVIDENCE.

Ÿ MATERNITY LEAVE SHOULD NOT BE COMBINED WITH CASUAL LEAVE ACCOUNT.

Ÿ MATERNITY LEAVE MAY ALSO BE GRANTED ON FULL PAY INCASE OF MISCARRIAGE/ABORTION SUBJECT TO THE CONSIDERATION THAT THE LEAVE APPLIED FOR DOES NOT EXCEED 45 DAYS AND APPLICATION FOR LEAVE IS SUPPORTED BY A MEDICAL DOCUMENT.

Ÿ MALE STAFF IS GRANTED 10 DAYS PATERNITY LEAVE DURING THE CONFINEMENT OF HIS WIFE FOR CHILD BIRTH.

Ÿ THE STAFF MEMBER NEEDS TO PRODUCE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS FOR EVIDENCE.

Ÿ PATERNITY LEAVE SHOULD NOT BE COMBINED WITH CASUAL LEAVE ACCOUNT.

Ÿ MEDICAL LEAVE IS GRANTED FOR A PERIOD OF SIX DAYS (ONLY IF THE STAFF MEMBER IS HOSPITALISED) AND NEEDS TO PRODUCE DOCUMENTS AS EVIDENCE.

Ÿ AN EMPLOYEE WHO HAS BEEN GRANTED LEAVE ON MEDICAL GROUNDS IS REQUIRED TO PRODUCE A MEDICAL CERTIFICATE OF FITNESS BEFORE RESUMING DUTY.

Ÿ VACATION STAFF (ACADEMIC) AVAIL 60 DAYS WINTER VACATION IN AN ACADEMIC YEAR AND 10 DAYS IN SUMMER.

Ÿ NON VACATION (ADMIN) GET ONE MONTH LEAVE IN LIEU OF WINTER BREAK.

Ÿ SPECIAL CASUAL LEAVE IS GRANTED WHEN THE STAFF MEMBERS ARE DEPUTED TO ATTEND CONFERENCES, SEMINARS, MEETINGS, SYMPOSIUMS ETC.

Ÿ THE ABSENCE OF THE TEACHER IN THIS CASE IS TREATED AS "ON DUTY".

Ÿ SPECIAL CASUAL LEAVE SHALL BE GRANTED FOR ACADEMIC PURPOSE FROM TIME TO TIME.

Ÿ FOR PARTICIPATION IN SPORTS EVENT SPECIAL CASUAL LEAVE IS GRANTED FOR A PERIOD OF 30 DAYS.
