Showing Kindness, One Door at a Time

Taking care of each other is the norm at Jacobson. One of our four growth essentials is owning your choices and helping each other. Over

the break, Mrs. Estevez and several third grade students showered the school with kindness and helped to make it a better place!

Students created positive messages and words of wisdom that our students will see every day when they enter a bathroom. Both girls and boys re- strooms were updated!

A Show of Hands: How Many are Returning 2019-2020?

In order for us to project class sizes next school year (2019-2020) and to plan for the needs of our students, PLEASE complete the online Student Intent to Return Form at https://cusdelementaryed.wufoo.com/forms/q6jkxwm1coed8w/ by 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 14, 2019. The Student Intent to Return Form MUST be completed for EVERY student in Kindergarten through 5th grade.

If you are attending Jacobson on Open Enrollment, you should also complete the Intent to Return form. You do NOT need to complete another open enrollment form. Thank you!

Ho ho holidays - Good Bye!

The holidays are over but lots of folks are taking advantage of sales at the mall. Don’t forget! Please turn in all receipts to your classroom teacher;

label them School Cents and list your classroom teacher and grade level.

Remember ALL stores in the mall and in the surrounding, Circular – Drive area… Including the movies and res- taurants go directly to helping our school WIN funds each year.

AND.... in case you didn’t know, there is a Macy’s furniture store in- side the Macy’s. Mattresses and furniture can be purchased there for big ticket items. If you’re going to shop, remember to help out you’re A-rated, community school.

Help Us Win $3,000 with your Chandler Fashion Center Receipts!

We won the grand prize last year, and we’re hungry for more! Jacobson competes with other area schools for up to $3,000 from the Chandler Mall. Your receipts from the mall stores INCLUDING The Boulevard Shops surrounding the mall earn us a minimum of $5 per $1 spent.

Earn Bonus Points: Receipt Deadline January 15

Get your picture taken with Santa on the lower level near Macy’s and earn 1,000 bonus points per photo package! Adopt an angel from the Salvation Army Angel Trees on the lower level near Sears and receive 1,000 points per angel. Earn quadruple points for re- ceipts dated and submitted between November 1, 2018 and January 15, 2019.

CATS Testing

All 2^nd graders will be tested in January unless a signed note from a parent is sent to the teacher requesting their child NOT be tested. These notes must be received by Decem- ber 18, 2018.

Students in grades 3-6 will ONLY be testing if a permission slip is signed by the parent and returned to school no later than January 11, 2019.
