PERSONAL STATEMENT (400 Words or Less):
I served the past 4 years as Alternate Delegate for the OSMA/AMA and this year began serving as delegate. I am the AMA Organized Medical Staff Section representative, Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, and on the AMA Integrated Physician Practice Section as well as the AMA Integrated Physician Practice Section Policy Planning Committee.
Currently I’m OSMA District 4 Council. My experience also includes amongst others: 10 years serving as Chairman of OB/GYN, 10 years as Director of Medical Education and past Chief of Staff at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. Past President of The Toledo and Lucas County Academy of Medicine. ACOG Ohio Section Advisory Council and Vice Chair on the Toledo Community Foundation. Currently I am also Medical Director for Obstetrics & Specialty Care, Mercy Medical Partners. My role is primarily strategic planning, quality, patient safety,
operations and access and growth over 6 institutions in Northwest Ohio. I know that I have all the necessary personality traits and skill sets to further the mission and vision of our OSMA and therefore am asking for your vote to serve as your next President-elect to the OSMA.
