-ATR VERDICT:

Apasionado was an extremely impressive winner on his hurdling debut at Uttoxeter

last month and he sets a high standard to aim at despite his 7lb penalty. That said, preference is for

RIVER FROST, who was a winner on the Flat in France and has since joined powerful connections.

Lisheen Prince faced a stiff task on his Rules debut when eighth to Ballyandy in a Listed bumper at

Cheltenham a year ago and he should only improve for going over hurdles.

Top Tip: RIVER FROST

ATR VERDICT:

Prettylittlething has been running consistently well of late but, while another solid

performance can be expected, she could prove to be vulnerable once again. COPPERFACEJACK was

unfortunate to bump into a well-handicapped rival last time out but that is solid form in the context of

this race and he can overcome a 6lb rise in the ratings. The unexposed Denboy is bred to appreciate

the step up in trip and for going over fences, being a relative of Denman.

ATR VERDICT:

Robinshill won well at Wetherby last month but a 12lb rise in the ratings appears to

be very harsh, especially as the second from that race was well beaten at Musselburgh last week. ALL

SET TO GO made a pleasing comeback when third at Chepstow a few weeks ago and if he takes a

step forward from that contest he could take all the beating from the same mark. Optimus Prime is a

multiple winner from France and he makes his debut for Dan Skelton following his purchase in July for

110,000 euros. Beltor has yet to confirm the promise he displayed when winning a Grade 2 at Kempton

in February 2015 but he has only made four starts since and it is far too soon to be writing him off.

ATR VERDICT:

ANATOL left a lasting impression on his sole start for Paul Nicholls last season with

the way he jumped and on that occasion the six-year-old looked more than capable of picking up a

race of this nature over 2m. It should also be noted that he put in that fine performance on the back of

a long layoff and the first-time hood should make him less aggressive throughout. Querry Horse

showed a high level of form in three starts over hurdles last season and he should have a bright future

over the larger obstacles, while similar comments apply to Max Ward and any market support for him

after 843 days off the track would have to be noted. Definite Future has been running well of late but

he may be outclassed in this event.

represents a yard that is in fine form at the moment. Midnight Gem is better than what she showed last

time out and she would have a chance based on her second at Fontwell back in April, while Monsart

one of the newcomers did not prove to be too good for them. FABRITIUS was a 40,000gns purchase

as a yearling and, while it is surprising to see him making his racecourse debut in a race of this nature,

he represents a yard whose sole bumper runner to date was an impressive winner over this C&D.

Samburu Shujaa has to be respected given his connections and others to note are Atlantic Grey,

Guiding Stars, Scottsdale and Sweeping Beauty.

Top Tip: FABRITIUS
