Fall 2011 Release – Dynamic Transfers Interim Solution

Interim Solution Using existing functionality (with limited modification) to support Dynamic Transfers

on interim basis:

1. Transmission reservations: ISO will continue existing market scheduling and settlement of transmission usage.

2. Congestion management: ISO will use most recent available telemetry as DOT for next dispatch interval. (New Feature )

3. Dynamic exports: system impact and modification will be identified as ISO receives specific project proposals.

4. Non-firm transmission: ISO will need to document tagging procedures and related systems and processes.

5. Coordination with neighboring BAAs: Supporting Dynamic Scheduling System (DSS) through Joint Initiatives project.

Application Software Changes

Master File: Define the Eligible Resources

Real Time Dispatch: Echo back the most recent telemetry as the DOT, unless

there are constraints such as congestion or over-generation that would prevent the persistent dispatch at the most recent telemetry.
