Word of Welcome
Dear Student, dear Scholar,Welcome to the KU Leuven, our Alma Mater! We are really happy to have you join our university. You make KU Leuven richer and more interesting.
For centuries, our university has attracted students and scholars from all corners of the world. We have a long tradition of welcoming international visitors to Leuven. With the KU Leuven Orientation Days programme we want to keep the fire of warm welcome burning for international students and scholars. We are confident that your stay with us will be enriching and rewarding, and that very soon you will feel at home both at the university and in the city of Leuven.
Coming to a new country is both exciting and challenging. To ease your integration, the university provides this orientation programme. The first few days or weeks, you will inevitably have to deal with a number of practical matters, but you can also look forward to learning more about the university, about Leuven, Belgium, and meeting fellow students. Therefore we offer you a whole range of activities from guided walks through town, individually designed welcome days, social evenings, weekend activities, workshops, a crash course in Dutch etc. With these activities we want to put you in touch with like-minded students, enhance your settlement and offer you a home from home. We wish you a fun, informative and eventful start to your experience here.
Enjoy and good luck to all of you! Caroline, Hélène, Lieve, Sabine, Sarah Pangaea
