PREMISE INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
HARDWARE, SOFTWARE AND
CONFIGURATION REQUIREMENTS
Team Services may require reconfiguration of a client’s existing environment to support our new dedicated model. Each server identified below must be a separate, distinct physical or virtual machine, running only the indicated software. Some of these requirements have changed from previous hardware and software requirement specs based on new hardware and software features used by Team Services.TEAM SERVICES SERVER
Purpose: A new dedicated server, host for Team Services. Component Requirement Hardware Dedicated Physical or Virtual Machine for service host Team Services must reside on a dedicated server within the LAN. The server must be able to communicate with all TEAM‐related hosts, Azure services hosted under the myteamsoftware.com domain, your internal SMTP, and external dedicated mail domain either directly or via port forwarding. Ports must also be available for communication between the DMZ and this host. Dual Core 2.0 GHz or better processor 4 GB RAM 0‐10 simultaneous connections Ports 9000 through 9010 must be open. Software Windows Server 2008/2012 – 64 or 32bit .NET Framework 4.0 Team Services: Provided by TEAM during installation. Configuration IMPORTANT for Action Items (Notifications): The Exchange server and the Team Services server must have identical availability. One cannot be online without the other. This is a critical requirement.
WINTEAM DATABASE SQL SERVER
Purpose: A dedicated server, host for TEAM’s SQL database, backend to WinTeam, eHub and other TEAM solutions. Component Requirement Hardware Refer to existing WinTeam database requirements with the following change: Dedicated Physical or Virtual Machine as host, located within the LAN. Software Refer to existing WinTeam database requirements. Configuration No additional configuration changes are required to support Team Services.WINTEAM APPLICATION SERVER
Purpose: A dedicated server, host for the WinTeam application. Component Requirement Hardware Refer to existing WinTeam application requirements with the following change: Dedicated Physical or Virtual Machine as host located either within the LAN. Software WinTeam April 2015 release minimum required. Refer to existing WinTeam application requirements. Configuration No additional configuration changes are required to support Team Services.INTERNAL MICROSOFT EXCHANGE SERVER E‐MAIL
SERVER
Purpose: A dedicated server, host for the Microsoft Exchange Server application and services utilized to facilitate Action Item notifications. Component Requirement Hardware Refer to Microsoft’s requirements for Exchange Server 2007+: http://office.microsoft.com/en‐us/exchange/ Located within the LAN. Port forwarding may be required. Software Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 or higher. Configuration Host for dedicated external mail domain specified below, connected and configured prior to installation of Action Items. IMPORTANT: The Exchange server and the Team Services server must have identical availability. One cannot be online without the other. This is a critical requirement.TEAMTIME DATABASE SQL SERVER [OPTIONAL]
Purpose: A potentially new, dedicated server, host for TEAM’s TeamTime database, required for the TeamTime features of Action Items. Component Requirement Hardware Refer to existing TeamTime hardware requirements with the following change: Dedicated Physical or Virtual Machine as host located within the LAN. Software TeamTime Watchdog October 2013 release minimum required. Refer to existing TeamTime application requirements. Configuration No additional configuration changes are required to support Team Services.DEDICATED EXTERNAL MAIL DOMAIN
Purpose: A new dedicated external web domain, handles e‐mail notifications and responses generated from Action Items features. Component Requirement Hardware As required by domain provider. Software As required by domain provider. Configuration Dedicated external mail domain, handling only e‐mails generated from and sent to Team Services. Cannot be shared or a subdomain of an existing corporate mail domain. Must be pre‐configured with the following, if applicable, prior to Action Items install: DNS entries Firewall and other virtual or appliance‐based routing configuration Linked to Microsoft Exchange mail serverINSTALLATION & UPDATES
Initial installation and all subsequent updates will require coordination and active interaction between a member of client’s IT Staff and TEAM’s Client Services team. Initial installation and subsequent updates must be pre‐scheduled and a member of the client’s IT staff must be available and able to lead specific portions of the installation with guidance, while providing environment‐level support throughout. Client’s IT staff must have knowledge of mail forward capabilities of the Exchange server, mail domain configuration and physical and virtual environment components, including knowledge of port forwarding, if applicable. Client’s IT staff must also have full security access to all appliances, hardware, software and other environment and network infrastructure components related to this installation.INSTALLATION
The initial setup fee includes the following: Four (4) hours – Information Technology team member assistance o Assist client’s IT staff with linking existing external mail domain and Microsoft Exchange server to perform mail forwarding. Seven (7) hours – Development team member assistance o Perform installation of Team Services, with connections to required servers. o Perform environment‐level testing of Action Items features and associated connections. Installation resources above and beyond those specified above will be subject to hourly billing for actual time invested. Above resource figures are estimates and will vary based on environment configuration factors and availability of client’s IT staff.UPDATES
Recurring update fee: charged per resource hour, minimum two hours. Team Services related updates will require pre‐scheduled parallel updates of some or all of the following software components: WinTeam application. eHub Web services. TeamTime database. TeamTime services. The update process is as follows: Client: Environment taken offline TEAM: Connect to client environment and perform update Client: Environment brought back online IMPORTANT: Updating any component of TEAM’s solution suite could render the other components inoperable. Please contact a member of TEAM’s Client Services team prior to initiating any TEAM Software‐provided updates or changing environment configuration. IMPORTANT: The Exchange and business logic server are required to have identical availability. In other words, one cannot be online without the other. This may be a change to the client’s existing internal processes. Recurring updates are subject to hourly billing per resource hour, with updates estimated at 2‐4 hours depending on complexity and availability of client’s IT staff. Client‐initiated updates resulting from client‐driven environment configuration changes are subject to hourly billing at the above specified rate. Updates must be scheduled a minimum of 14 days in advance with a member of TEAM’s Client Services team and are subject to availability.
