We will explain one by one in the following text.

1. Storage Server

Pic 4.2.7 storage configuration

Storage server is used for saving the files from the device’s live streaming if the vehicle break the rule (need set the rule first), or upload the alarm files in the device(also need set the alarm file and setting on the device first) at real-time.

(2)

Split time: Video’s saving time range. File format: Grec or Mp4 for option. Task Count:128 is maximum. Attention :

1. If there is no WIFI AP, such as the vehicle is running outside, these videos will be upload by SIM card directly if you have set them.It will cost lots of data of SIM card.

2.For the rule setting, if there is no SIM card signal, the video will not be uploaded. For storage server, it also contains two different options.

A. Set a rule to download, such as Alarm linkage, Timed recording B. The device upload to storage server directly.

1.1. Set a rule to download files

1.1.1. Rule

Rule means: Set a rule in the CMS system first, if the vehicle (device) break the rule, the system will detect it and push an alarm to the CMS . It’s decided by the CMS system.

For example : GEO Fence in, set a GEO fence in the map of CMS system first, when the car get into this filed, the system will detect this action via the GPS location in the MDVR, and then it will push an alarm.

The rules contains 14 functions at present version : Fatigue, Prohibited Enter/Leave, Area Speed limit, Line Offset, Break Speed Limit, Key Points, Parking Timeout, Night Driving, Timing Pictures, Timer Recording, WiFi Download, Alarm Linkage, Abnormal Positioning .

The general setups includes: 1. Add rules.

2. Set the rules of the custom.

3. Assign the Rule to single device or multiple -devices. Now let’s take Timed recording for example.

1.1.2. Timed Recording and Picture

The CMS platform supports timing record or taking pictures. It depends on real time of sub-stream of device via 3G/4G(if the device is linking by 3G/4G), or WIFI(if the device is linking by WIFI. All videos will be saved in the Storage server of CMS. So pay attention to this setting if the device is linked by 3G/4G.

If there is no 3G/4G,it will not transit the sub-stream for saving. A. Time Pictures

It will take the photos in the setting time range automatically. 1. ClickManagement →Rule →Timing Pictures

2. ClickAdd

3. Input Basic Info : name, time range, select the channel or all channels, interval time. 4. Assigned or unassigned the Rule to vehicles.

(3)

B. Time Recording

The CMS supports timer recording function, the files will be saved in the CMS server. 1. ClickManagement →Rule →Timer Recording

2. ClickAdd

3. Input Basic Info: name, time range, and stream type ,then save it.

Stream type: Sub or main stream .The main stream video will be better, but cost more SIM card data and more space to store them.

4. Before assign vehicles, you need Associate first in the Server→Storage Server and associate the vehicles.

1. ClickManagement →server →Storage Server 2. ClickAssociate

(4)

5. Assigned the Rule to vehicles.

1.2. MDVR upload method

(5)

1.2.1. Set a bigger Storage size on MDVR

The alarm files(picture and video) will be saved in this area of HDD/SD card, so should input a bigger storage size for it, such as 5GB.

1.2.2. Storage setting

Alarm Previous Rec: Set the previous recording time before the alarm happens. Press number keys to enter, 0 to 60 seconds for selection.

Alarm delay:Set the delay recording time after the alarm happened. Press number keys to enter, 0 to 3600 seconds for selection.

Alarm file to server: Alarm file save to CMS or FTP. All alarms file will be uploaded at real-time. So pay attention if it’s linked by 3G/4G, since it will cost data of SIM card.

CMS is default setting, it will be saved intheStorage Server of CMS.

(6)

Alarm file protection: Set the alarm file protection time, this files will be not deleted during the setting days. Press number keys to enter, 0 to 45 days.

Protect Switch: Close or Open. When it’s open, then you can set the Alarm file protection’s days(it will not be covered in HDD/SD until that days). And select the alarm type , such as I/O ,G-sensor ,speed, Fatigue ,voltage and so on.

Attention: In order to upload files to FTP or CMS storage server. Must turn on the Protect SwitchOPEN. And set theAlarm file protectiondays.

1.2.3. Set Alarm

Alarms include: I/O alarm, speed alarm, G-sensor, motion detection, alarm voltage, Fatigue, serial port and PTZ control management.

Set the Record as ON, the alarm videos will be saved in theStdPartof HDD or SD card.

By these two method, you can search them by the CMS client when you try to playback.

2. FTP Server

(7)

Attention:Should forward the TCP port 2121 and 2122-2124 on the Firewall or Router management first.

On the MDVR end

1. Repeat the operation1.2.1-1.2.3, the only difference is change the below setting as FTP.

2. Set the IP address of CMSserver

(8)

3. WIFI Download server

Pic 4.2.9 WIFI download configuration

WIFI download is used for uploading the recorded files in the SD/HDD, when the vehicle arrived in the WIFI coverage area.

Reserve space: When the new file cover the old file, set a reverse space for HDD Warn Space: Set a space for warning.

Save days,Day(N): Normal file; Day(A): Alarm files; Download parameters:

Days: Decide how many days’ file to be downloaded.1 day means today. File/Device: Simultaneously download files(videos)for one Device. Mode : Max device mode or Max file mode.

Max device : The maximum device number for uploading. Max file :The maximum file numbers for uploading. 3.1. Set AP linkage in CMS Server

Login server web page.

(9)

SSID: It’s your device connect WIFI’s name, must be same. This WIFI could be the bus stop or garage’s WIFI signal.

When the vehicle enter the WFI coverage area, the device will connect it. Then the server will detect this connection status. And execute the WIFI download .

(10)

3.2. Set the Rule Login server web page .

Go toRules - Rule Maintenance – WI-FI Download, and add a rule. ClickAssignment and link the rule to device , and save the settings. You can choose “Assigned” to see the device linkage.

Time Range :It’s the recorded files’ time. For example, if you select 12:00-14:00, it will down this range’s recorded files in the HDD/SD.

Alarm Type: We suggest upload the alarm’s file only. At present, the MDVR supports I/O, G-sensor, Motion detection.

(11)
(12)

3.3. Check the status Restart the system first.

Click the WIFI Config to check the download status. If the setting is correct & device is online, and some videos in the device’s SD/HDD, it will begin to download after some minutes.

(13)

Download speed is about 1-3MB/s for one device.

For more than 3 device, the speed is confined to the Router’s configuration, also decided by read and write speed on the server PC’s disk(SSD will be better). Normally speed is 3-6MB/s, average speed is 4MB/s. If the WIFI signal is very well, it can reach up to 9MB/s(1300M router we have tested) in all.

So we suggest upload alarm’s file only.

4. Export tool

We suggest connect the HDD/SD card to PC directly. For more detail, please refer to this download link, it contains tool, manual and operation video.
