The staff at River Oaks are looking forward to starting another great year of golf in 2021 and to serving you this season. Whether you come to work on your game with Toptracer Range or to just get out of the house, you will have fun exploring our course and uncovering the natural beauty of River Oaks.

Back again this year is Swing King! Make sure to purchase it in the golf shop before your round for your chance to win up to $20,000!

Coming in the Spring of 2021, you will see a difference on our practice range. You can work on your game with Toptracer Range, which allows you to track your shot with your phone!

These lessons are geared toward golfers between the ages of 6 to 10 and 11 to 15 looking to grow their experience and improve their golfing technique and knowledge Instructors will teach the basics of the game starting with putting and chipping and then go through the fundamentals of the full swing with irons and woods. We do have a

very limited number of junior clubs if your junior does not have any, but it is recommended they have at least a putter, short iron, mid iron, and wood. *Indicates Potential Makeup Date if Needed

Junior Try-It Lessons are back and rebranded for the 2021 season! Try-It Lessons are available for kids ages 6-11 but are limited to 12 juniors per class. Lessons run every other Friday from 6:00-7:00 pm starting May 14 through August 20. The cost is $25 per lesson.These lessons are tailored to kids who are beginners at the game of golf. Instructors will go through the key fundamentals of the game and work with kids one on one. Kids will learn a new

skill each week and get a chance to swing their clubs around on our practice facility. Parents are encouraged to enjoy the hour on our beautiful patio while their junior(s) participate.

Established the year the course opened in 1991 (30 years ago!), River Oaks Senior Men’s

League brings together a variety of 55+ golfers looking to socialize with their friends in an

outdoor and safe environment while having the opportunity to participate in weekly

games.

Our Senior Men’s leagues play on both Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from 6:30

am-11:00 am starting on April 13th and concluding on October 13th. We will continue with 10

minutes tee times to ensure social distance as that too helped with the pace of play.

On the senior schedule you will notice a few changes after listening to many of you this off

season. We have incorporated more opportunities to join us for a complimentary lunch

after your round, as we are excited to showcase our menu this season.

If that does not peak your interests, we are also including a complimentary tap beer, rail

drink or fountain soda all season long when you purchase a sandwich off our grill menu at

the conclusion of your round between 11 am – 4 pm. One other feature this season for the

senior leagues will be the ½ price practice range before your round, to help you warm up

between 6 am – 11 am. These specials are only available during league play. As for single

rider carts, we will offer those again this season, but we will have a $5 surcharge if you

choose to ride alone.

Our league dues this season which includes your USGA handicap, awards and social

activities is $75 per player; we will also have a $2 per week additional prize pool that can

be paid when you arrive to the course for that week’s event. We look forward to some

nice payouts this season. All payouts are paid back through club credit that can be used

in the golf shop or in the grill. Club credit does expire on October 31st.

Players are welcome to sign up as a single, twosome, threesome or a full foursome. We

will pair you with other players to fill out your group. Once you have your group, a tee

time will be assigned that works for your group's schedules. There is no limit to the

number of league players, so tell a friend! We will send out a confirmed list of tee times a

couple weeks prior to our league starting.

merchandise, shuffleboard, social area with 65” televisions! Please return your

registration form by March 15th, to secure your spot.

TUESDAY EVENING COUPLES LEAGUE

You asked for it, you got it! It’s time to spend a little quality time on the course. It has been a long year and River Oaks is ready for an exciting Couples league that wants to socialize! We have quite a few social events planned this season to make sure you enjoy food, friends and hospitality. From our patio, to grill and even our bocce ball area; we look to have an exciting time!

The inception of this league was back in 1991, 30 years ago and it has evolved into a time that couples can get away, spend time with friends and just let loose. Our league is hosted on Tuesday evenings between 5 pm- 6 pm and you get to choose your foursome! On the couples schedule you will notice a few changes after listening to many of you this off season. We have incorporated more opportunities to join us for a complimentary dinner or appetizers after your round, as we are excited to showcase our menu this season.

Our league dues, which includes awards and social activities is $100 per couple; we will also have a $10 per week additional prize pool that can be paid when you arrive to the course for that week’s event. We look forward to some nice payouts this season. All payouts are paid back through club credit that can be used in the golf shop or in the grill. Club credit does expire on October 31st.

Couples can sign up as a twosome and we can pair you up from week to week or you can sign up as a foursome. Tee times can be made up to 7 days in advance to help groups adjust to their work schedules. We are excited to showcase changes made to the golf shop, which will feature more merchandise,

shuffleboard, and a social area with 65” televisions! Our patio will have shades installed to help block the sun but provide a great view overlooking the golf course. Please return your registration form by March 15th, to secure your spot as our league is limited to 16 couples.

WEDNESDAY WOMEN'S LEAGUE

We invite you to join our Wednesday Women’s League at River Oaks Golf Course. Created in 2020, this league is all about friends and fun. Are you just beginning and don't think your game is up to par, maybe you don't have a handicap or are hesitant because you don't know where to start?  Maybe you would like to golf with someone of similar ability? We would LOVE to meet you!

This league is designed for any female golfer who would like an opportunity to play more golf and get out of the house. No matter your experience level or history with the game, we invite you to come play on Wednesday evenings.  Tee times will be from 5 pm - 6 pm every Wednesday.

On the schedule you will notice a few changes after listening to many of you this off season. We have incorporated more opportunities to join us for a complimentary dinner or appetizers after your round, as we are excited to showcase our menu this season.

Our league dues, which include awards and social activities is $60 per player; we will also have a $5 per week additional prize pool that can be paid when you arrive to the course for that week’s event. We look forward to some nice payouts this season as we have some simple events for all abilities. All payouts are paid back through club credit that can be used in the golf shop or in the grill. Club credit does expire on October 31st.

Groups sign up as a foursome and you are welcome to have a substitute fill in for you on weeks you might not be able to make it. Once you have your group, a tee time will be assigned that works for your group's schedules. There is a limit of 32 players, so tell a friend! We will send out a confirmed list of tee times a couple weeks prior to our league starting.

We are excited to showcase changes made to the golf shop, which will feature more merchandise, shuffleboard, and a social area with 65” televisions! Our patio will have shades installed to help block the sun but provide a great view overlooking the golf course. Please return your registration form by March 15th, to secure your spot as our league is limited to 32 women.

SATURDAY MORNING MEN'S CLUB

Established the year the course opened in 1991 (30 years ago!), River Oaks Weekend Men’s Club brings together a variety of ages and abilities. One thing is for certain, players want to compete in a socially inviting atmosphere. Our 2021 season is full of some new and exciting events, along with some classics from years past. This year will feature a season-long white tee match play ($50 per player) as well as a season-long four-ball match play ($100 registration per team)! If you have never participated in this style of format, they are a blast.    

Tee times are on Saturday mornings between 7 am – 10 am beginning April 24th and concluding with “King of the Hill” on October 9th. Our “King of the Hill” is a season-long point total, which includes player participation points and points are doubled during the Club Championship. The top (10) individuals with the most points go to the King of Hill Finale, where finalists play 18 holes and are then broken down to (5) by low net scores. A shootout begins in the afternoon for the final (5) for the crown, bragging rights, and to enjoy the new “$500 King of the Hill Purse”!   

There is no limit to the number of league players and no cut off for the number of players per event. League dues for 2021 Weekend Men's Club will be $140. This covers the cost of your USGA handicap, opportunities to join us for a complimentary lunch after your round on select dates, $500 “Pre-Round Putting” purse, $250 “Hole in One” purse for ALL hole in ones during league play, “$500 King of the Hill” purse and prize money distributed for weekly events. Prize money will be paid out in "Club Credit" that can be used for merchandise in the golf shop or in the grill. There will be a $10 entry fee charged for all weekly events, which includes: weekly proximity games, pre-round putting contest and additional prize money for each event. There are optional $5 cash net and gross skins games available.  

In addition to our full Men’s Club calendar, we will be having a Club Championship Weekend for all leagues on August 21st and 22nd, so mark your calendars. Compete for your chance at winning the Men’s Club Championship Trophy that will be presented to the White Tee Champion and the Club Champion. Enjoy a weekend guaranteed to be full of fun, excitement, prizes, great food, and golf with friends. Dinner will follow both days of play and awards ceremony will be held Sunday after dinner! If that is not enough, we do host two other special events that you are welcome to compete in. Our 3rd of July “Red, White and Blue Scramble” and our popular “Big Cup” in September.

JUNIOR LEAGUES

Our Intro Junior League, formerly known as Chili Dippers, will take place Wednesdays from 1-4 pm and is perfect for ages 7-11. This is a non-competitive golf league and each week has a competition somewhere on the course. This league is designed for juniors that are ready to take their game from the practice range to the course. Players should have the common

knowledge of course etiquette and desire to enjoy the game with friends. If your junior is looking to learn more about playing golf, check out our junior lesson options! The cost for this league is $225.

We are excited to showcase changes made to the golf shop, which will feature more merchandise,

shuffleboard, and a social area with 65” televisions! Our patio will have shades installed to help block the sun but provide a great view overlooking the golf course. Please return your registration form by March 15th to secure your child's spot.

Do you have a junior who is looking to experience golf in a more competitive atmosphere? The Junior

Competitive league is perfect for juniors ages 12-17 that are looking to improve in competition amongst other local players. This league will take place on Thursdays from 2:00-4:00 pm. League dues are $50 to join, which also includes a handicap, and $25 for each week of competition.

Prizes are paid out in club credit that can be used either in the golf shop or in the grill and along with these prizes we keep a running total of player points to award prizes later in the season. This league is limited to 48 players each week.

Players in our competitive league also have the opportunity to compete to be our Junior Club Champion. Watch for more details to come out at a later date.
