1 Abstract
This document contains information on innovations and changes that are introduced with the current software version. Additionally, this document gives an overview on the tested and supported functional range of the various software versions.
2 Validity
This document applies for the following Dallmeier HD cameras:

The descriptions in this document are based on the software version 6.3.1.9.
3 Compatibility
The current software version is compatible with the following hard- and software:
• ActiveX-based Dallmeier control as of version 1.2.2.24
• PView 7 as of version 7.0.2
• SMAVIA Viewing Client as of version 1.0.0.7
• DMS, VNS and VNB recorders as of version 7.1.4
• DMX recorders as of version 7.3.5
• SeMSy

4 General Notes
Note that
• this software update to version 6.3.1.9 is free of charge.
• the changes are only generally described in this document.
• the Dallmeier support hotline is always available for further questions.
• some features may be subject to costs.
• the product pages in the Dallmeier Partner Forum contain all information on features with costs.
• due to dynamic development and constant improvement some functions can not be of- fered in all software versions.
5 Update Procedure
The software update to version 6.3.1.9 is available in the Dallmeier Partner Forum (Camera updates).
It can be executed via network with the software PService which is also available for
download in the Dallmeier Partner Forum.
6 New Features and Improvements
Manual White Balance (MWB)
Description Previous versions already supported the two automatic white balance modes “ATW” and “One-Push AWB”.
As of the current version, settings for the manual white balance are now also available in the sensor settings.
By using sliders, the red, green, and blue components, or rather the respec- tive colour gain, can be manually adjusted to the prevailing light sources and colour temperatures in order to achieve an accurate colour reproduction, even in difficult lighting conditions.

Requirements
Redundant Backup of Config File
Description The backup function of the configuration settings was optimized in the cur- rent version.
From now on, an automatic redundant backup (multiple copies) of the con- figuration file is performed in the camera in order to obtain an even higher reliability and availability of the camera.

Requirements
Optimized Video Preview Output:
4CIF/4SIF Support at 25/30 fps in 4:3 Format
Description The video preview output was optimized in the current version.
From now on, the resolutions 4CIF (704 × 576) and 4SIF (704 × 480) at a frame rate of 25/30 fps are supported in the settings of Encoder 1.
For an ideal analogue PAL or NTSC video preview output with an aspect ratio of 4:3, the resolution setting 4CIF or 4SIF should now be selected with preference.
