Welcome to Life Science- the study of all living things and how they function. If you are alive, this includes you! Life Science includes all plants and animals- from the tiniest microscopic life to the massive blue whales that roam the sea. I love Life Science because living things are magnificently diverse and
interesting. All living organisms depend upon others in order to survive and thrive. Even though it may seem like scientists know everything about our planet’s living organisms, we have actually only just begun to understand or even identify many life forms! Be ready in your lifetime for new discoveries and always be on the lookout for new scientific mysteries to be unraveled. Studying Science prepares us to think like scientists and look at the world with wonder.
Each month, students will work on certain chapters by becoming familiar with the appropriate Life Science Key Terms vocabulary at the beginning of each section and answer the Section Assessments’ Reviewing Key Concepts questions. There will also be online assignments and review assessments. Science Fair is in March!
