HOW TO SETUP THE NEW DIGITAL SIGNATURE COMPONENT (Version 3.0) Updated on: 8 April 2014
STEP 1: Uninstall the Java Certificate
1) Select the “Security” tab as shown in the diagram below and Click on
2) Remove all the certificates listed by following steps 3 - 5.
3) Select the first certificate and click on to delete the certificate.
STEP 2: Uninstall the Old Components A) Uninstall ALL Java
1) Click on “Start” Button (For windows XP) /Windows Icon (For Windows 7)
2) Select on “Control Panel”.
4) Select “Java(TM) X Update XX” from the list
5) Click on the button on top of the bar, to uninstall the Java.
B) Uninstall the EFS Component
1) Click on the “Start” Button (For windows XP) /Windows Icon (For Windows
7)
2) Select “Control Panel”.
4) Select “EFS Web Component version 1.1” from the list
5) Click on the button on top of the bar.
6) Upon clicking on the “Uninstall” button, you will get a confirmation message similar to the following one.
7) Click on to proceed to uninstall the component.
C) Uninstall the Old Digital Signature Component
1) Click on the “Start” Button (For windows XP) /Windows Icon (For
Windows 7)
2) Select “Control Panel”.
4) Select “SCAN JCE Updater v1.0 r2 version 1.5”.
5) Click on to uninstall the Digital Signature Component.
6) Upon clicking the “Uninstall” button, the following message will be shown.
7) Click on to proceed to uninstall the component.
STEP 3: Install the NEW Digital Signature Component A) Download the NEW Digital Signature Component
1) Launch the e-Filing website
2) Select tab.
3) At point , click on the hyperlink.
4) Upon clicking “Here”, the following screen will be shown.
5) At point 6 NEW Digital Signature Component in the diagram above, click on
6) The installer will start to be downloaded as below.
B) Install NEW Digital Component
1) You will see the screen below, Click on
2) Click on to proceed with the installation.
4) Click to start the installation process.

5) Click to proceed with the installation.
6) Click on to complete the installation.
7) Upon completing the Java installation, the next installer will be shown as follows,

C) Download and Install EFS Component 1) Launch the e-Filing website
2) Select tab.
3) At point , click on the hyperlink.
4) Upon clicking “Here”, the following screen will be shown.
5) At point 7 on the screenshot above, click on for EFS component.
6) After downloading EFS Component, double click on the installer and run the installer.
8) Click to install the EFS Component.
STEP 4: To check on the readiness to use the new Components 1) Access to the e-Filing Website
2) At the bottom right of the webpage, under “About e-Filing”, click on “EFS
Client Installation Checkers”.
STEP 5: [For Windows XP ONLY] Setup Java 1) Click on the Control Panel
2) Click on the in the control panel.
4) Select Security> Mixed code> Select “Disable verification (not recommended)
Frequent Question Asked
1) Q: During Signing I got Error Code “51” A: Token Manager Installer Problem
- Unplug the token
- Uninstall the token manager - Plugin the token
- Install the token with autorun
* Please make sure the token balloon already pop up stated “Token Trustgate inserted” before you type in the Pin Number for token.
2) Q: After install according to the guide, I still get a “X” for New Digital Component. A: The security file not in place
